AGT - Participation Guidelines provides information on participating in the AGT.
Summary[]
This page is a set of guidelines for how players can become members and participate in the Alliance of Galactic Travellers.
Type of Participation[]
The AGT is made up of three categories of participants:
- Members: Members are part of the AGT but do not participate actively in multi-player activities or conform to follow AGT Naming Convention Guidelines. They are not eligible to be registered on the Census of AGT Members. Members may or may not build in named/claimed AGT Star systems.
- Travellers: Travellers follow AGT Naming Convention Guidelines and are required to register on the Census of AGT Members. They may or may not participate in multi-player activities. In general, most if not all AGT Travellers build some bases in AGT star systems.
- Senior Leadership Team (SLT): Travellers who are specifically invited into the AGT Senior Leadership Team to join to assist in guiding AGT activities. In general this happens once the existing Senior Leadership Team members have noticed a sustained effort on behalf of a Traveller in engage in AGT initiatives, make significant contributions to the AGT Galactic Archives and are known to actively promote the AGT in public view.
Naming Convention[]
Those who wish to become a Traveller MUST comply with this requirement. It is the Primary requirement to qualify as an AGT Traveller.
Mission[]
The Alliance of Galactic Travellers (The AGT) primary mission is:
To encourage & support intergalactic travel in a collaborate manner
Behaviour[]
The AGT has a few simple behaviour rules which apply across all our social media and public platforms:
- Banter is ok, bullying is not.
- No racism
- No sexism
- No trolling
- No real world political or religion discussion/arguments
- Follow our system naming guidelines especially in AGT designated regions.
- Sci-fi references are ok but keep to NMS
- English only other languages may be deleted
- Report banter to Senior Leadership Team if you feel it's gone too far
Trolling, sexism, racisim, polotical and religious arguments may result in banning without warning or prior notification. Please behave politely and respectfully at all times.
How Do I Increase my Participation[]
- Utilize Alliance of Galactic Travellers Naming Convention, This is rule #1 of joining the AGT. IF we dont see a user apply it, we dont consider them part of the AGT
- The AGT is very active on many different platforms. Discover all those social media platforms and follow them. For some platforms, interaction is via responses or replies engaging with the official AGT moderator of that platform.
- Discover star systems, and name them according to the Naming Convention Guidelines when uploading them to the NMS Online Discovery Database in the game on any platform (PC/PS/XBox/Mac/Nintendo).
- Register on the AGT census see AGT Tools and Forms. Make sure to leave system details that can be verified in game.
- Fly the AGT flag and banners,(see Alliance_of_Galactic_Travellers#Flag_and_Emblem_Logo) at your base.
- Use the Alliance of Galactic Travellers Decal on your bases
- Use the Alliance of Galactic Travellers Banner on your player profile
- Provide a Message Module at your base promoting it as part of the AGT.
- Submit your discoveries to the AGT Galactic Archives (see AGT Tools and Forms).
- Publish your named AGT discoveries on the wiki, if you need help or advise contact celab99.
- Cross post your discoveries
- Follow and join the AGT Twitter list (click here)
- Cross post in Twitter and tag the AGT members such as @zazariins, @GalacticTrvllrs, and/or @celabgalactic.
- Cross post in Reddit on the r/GalacticTravellers community group
- Post in the Facebook group for the AGT
- Post in the AGT Discord Group channels
- Join multiplayer sessions with other AGT participants
- Join the AGT chat groups on Discord, Facebook Messenger, Steam, Xbox or Playstation messenger groups.
- Join in initiatives to build/construct bases in systems when noticed by special announcement made by the AGT Senior Leadership Team.
- Leave Communications Stations on other non-AGT worlds near points of interest such as Portals, Trading Posts, Colossal Archives, or Minor Settlements that host Multi-tools. The Communication Station should promote it as a point of interest from the AGT.
- Similar to above, if the Traveller joins Weekend Missions, then leave Communications Stations on the weekend mission host worlds near points of interest such as Portals, Habitable Bases, and Minor Settlements. The Communication Station should promote it as a point of interest from the AGT.
All of the above are guidelines for increasing your participation in the AGT, you do not have to do any or all of them, but the more effort you invest, the more rewarding membership will become!
Census[]
Once you have joined the AGT as a Traveller (a participant who follows AGT Naming Conventions) we encourage you to add your details to the AGT Census. This allows us to establish the true size of the AGT and understand its influence in key quadrants and specific galaxies.
If you are not able to add details yourself, please contact an admin or moderator on any of the AGT's social platforms.
Historical Operating Procedures[]
Before the relaxation on portal travel, it was a challenge to navigate the galaxy (these are no longer required reading/understanding but are good to know):
- the historical guidelines were set by iVc Navigator's Guide
- Complete Atlas and Artemis story lines
- Navigate with Pilgrim Star Process as required.
- If you wish to avoid warping to a destination, we recommend you use the extensive AGT membership network for multiplayer-assisted access to the system/region. If you are unable to find a desired location, you may refer to the Galactic Voyager Initiative project for additional destination assistance.
Governance[]
The community group is governed under the AGT Unincorporated Association Constitution.
Community[]
Players actively participating in the Alliance of Galactic Travellers will continue to adapt this page as the community evolves.
