AGT NAVI is an AGT tool.

Summary[]

The AGT NAVI is an external tool accessible on the public internet for any users to access. It provides a 3D browsing experience for the AGT Galactic Archives at a regional level.

Requirements[]

It should work on an internet browser with a decent internet connection. Larger displays work better, but even tablet and phones provide acceptable results.

A reliable internet bandwidth connection is advised due to large dataset loading.

The tool has been tested on :

  • Google Chrome browser running on Windows 10 PC
  • Google chrome browsers on Samsung S8, S20, and TAB S5 running Android latest versions.

Using The Tool[]

Steps to use:

  1. The tool can be accessed here: AGT NAVI
  2. After the browser loads the web page, the user needs to initiate the dataset loading. This is achieved by clicking on the AGT logo in the center of the screen.
  3. Note there are over 5000 star systems in the database so there will be a delay while it loads. The logo will rotate in 3D while the loading occurs.
  4. When the loading completes, the upper left hand corner of the browser window will present three vertical square boxes. Click on the top left corner icon and three search boxes will appear.
  5. 1st box- Search for the galaxy desired using name or galaxy number.
  6. 2nd box- Search for the region desired using name or glyph (hex)
  7. 3rd box - Search for the star system desired. (optional)
  8. The region will be displayed in 3D with stars and will show distance lines between nearby stars when you click an individual star
  9. Spin the mouse wheel to zoom in and out
  10. Move the mouse left/right/up/down while holding the secondary (often right) mouse button to move the screen around in the region
  11. Move the mouse left/right/up/down while holding the primary (often left) mouse button to rotate the region in 3D
  12. Click on a star to select it and have a name appear
  13. Click on the right hand vertical side boxes to open the right hand Star info display to show info for the last clicked star system

Visual Notes[]

  • Stars are colored to match their star system colors (yellow, green, red, blue) where they are known. For systems where the color is not recorded in the AGT Galactic Archives, they will show as white.
  • Systems outside the selected region but are NEAR the region will appear as white regardless of their system colors.
  • Systems which are in the database but do not have interstellar distances measured to other stars will be randomly distributed in a globe pattern as a central cluster ball in the region (We hope to get rid of all these!)

Database Availability[]

The AGT database only contains data from the AGT Galactic Archives. As such the regions are limited. Further, only a few regions have been mapped so far. We recommend using the tool to browse the following regions:

Galaxy Region Notes
Euclid Yihelli Quadrant 100% updated for Frontiers
Euclid Cagonia Shallows 2% mapped in DB, Frontiers era
Euclid Rexejto Anomaly 5% mapped in DB, Frontiers era
Euclid Milland 100% mapped in DB, 60% system naming data is Atlas Rises or unverified data
Euclid Deuter 1% mapped in DB, Frontiers era
Euclid Kaleibn Cluster 50% mapped in DB, 50% system names unverified for Expeditions universe merger
Euclid HUB1 The Arm of Vezitinen 10% mapped in DB, Galactic Hub Project is prime to collect data
Euclid HUB2 Canthian 0% mapped, Galactic Hub Project is prime to collect data
Euclid HUB3 Dexterf Sector 0% mapped, Galactic Hub Project is prime to collect data
Euclid HUB7 Widraik 0% mapped, Galactic Hub Project is prime to collect data
Hilbert Dimension Louyen 25% mapped in DB, 80% system names unverified for Expeditions universe merger

Other regions may have some mapping data present, but are not currently being actively prioritized.

  • Fix broken link to AGT DB
  • Systems from the regions neighbor of the selected region are plotted and colored in purple.
  • Inter-region distances are used to define the orientation of the selected region (beta test).
