Aluminum is a resource.
Summary[ | ]
Aluminium (Al) is a resource, and a member of the Neutral elements class.
The British spelling of this word is used in the wiki.
Game description[ | ]
A hugely useful, ductile and versatile metal.
A highly desired element in trading markets and cargo manifests throughout the known galaxy.
Can be combined with other elements to create valuable alloys if recipe is available.
Source[ | ]
Aluminium can be mined from nodes, crystals, and monoliths on planets as well as asteroids.
- node form appears metallic-white and is smaller and wider than a Heridium node with a rounded top (shaped like a half-disc)
- crystal form is green in colour
- monolith form are column-shaped with a square facing
- sub-surface, spotted via two adjacent holes with light-blue metallic edges. The node is a U-shaped tube.
Nodes are sub-surface and the cores are hollow. They appear as small vertical caverns, and maintain their white/silvery appearance. Nodes can be located when flying above the surface, as long as you are flying at a low to medium height, and slowly.
Use[ | ]
Aluminium is an obsolete resource and no longer has a purpose in the game.
Additional information[ | ]
- Aluminium can be sold in the Marketplace.
- In rare cases, gigantic monoliths of aluminium can be found on planets with Sentinels under threatening behaviour. The monoliths have an above-ground height 1.5x greater than a typical Heridium column, a square face, and an endless depth. The core is aluminum but cannot be mined (it will remain reflective). Mining this monolith yields a tremendous amount of Aluminium. In one specific case, more than 3000 units of Aluminium were harvested.
- When mining sub-surface aluminium, the nodes will bottom out, often after yielding 3000-5000 units of Aluminium..
Trivia[ | ]
This element is also called Aluminum in the US English localisation.
