Photon Cannon is a starship weapon.

The Photon Cannon is one of the primary ship weapons, and is more commonly used than the alternative Phase Beam. This weapon may occasionally be referred to as a Starship Cannon, although Photon Cannon is the preferred usage.

Highly destructive weapon that facilitates rapid ship-to-ship destruction.
Usage[ | ]
The cannon can be used both in direct combat and in clearing asteroids for traversal.

Photon Cannon (Atlas) can be repaired using the following ingredients:

- Advanced Cooling
- Accelerated Fire
- Cannon Damage
Additional information[ | ]
- The Photon Cannon was frequently shown in the pre-release trailers, including the reveal and PS4 Explore trailers (see below).
- Certain upgrades will change the projectile's colour.
- For example, Cannon Damage Theta will make the bolts red.
Version changes[ | ]
Prior to the Pathfinder upgrade, the photon cannon had three independent upgrades (Ion Blast, Photon Accelerator, and Photon Blast).
With Pathfinder, these were replaced with the Cyclotron Ballista, Infra-Knife Accelerator, and Positron Ejector.
