Buried Technology Module is an artificial resource.
Summary[]
Buried Technology Module can be found under the surface of planets.
It can be located with the Analysis Visor by looking for the icon and the Terrain Manipulator can be used to dig it out.
The Buried Technology Module will reward the player with 2-4 pieces of Salvaged Data when opened.
Additional information[]
- For the duration of the Community Research (week 1) mission Hex Core added to its loot table.
- Sometimes when Buried Technology Modules are located right next to each other, the Analysis Visor does not indicate separate icons for each one due to the close proximity.
- Sometimes Buried Technology Modules are located below the lowest diggable ground. If this happens there's no possibility to acquire them.
- Buried Technology Modules may also spawn above the surface in mid-air.
- Some Buried Technology Modules do not actually need to be dug out of the ground. They are close enough to the surface that they can be acquired simply by standing over them and interacting with them.
- Buried Technology Modules do not generate on Dead planets or in Uncharted Systems.
- Buried Technology and Damaged Machinery usually generate near each other.
