CSF Organisation Structure is a fan-fiction page.

Summary[ | ]

CSF Organisation Structure describes the various organisation branches and ranks within the Civil Security Fleet.

Community Corps[ | ]

Within the Civil Security Fleet there are five main Corps; this ensures that those interacting with each other are both suited for the task, and that it is enjoyable for all. The branches are as follows:

Badge Corps Name Description
Csf-command Command Corps The Command Corps is responsible for the coordination and deployment of the entire fleet, as well as individual freighters and battle groups.
Csf-logistics Logistics Corps The Logistics Corps primarily handles supply line and transportation management.
Csf-science Science Corps The Science Corps is responsible for the exploration and analysis of CSF protected space and beyond.
Csf-medical Medical Corps The Medical Corps is responsible for small to large scale medical and humanitarian events. Working closely with the Logistics Corps and the Command Corps, the Medical Corps personnel rarely operate alone.
Csf-civil Civil Services The Civil Services are responsible for responding to individual distress calls, low level system security and miscellaneous fleet operations.
Csf-civil Diplomatic Corps The Diplomatic Corps is responsible for managing relationships between the Civil Security Fleet and other Civilisations. This can include activities from establishing trade agreements, to maintaining diplomatic ties.

Organisational Branches[ | ]

The Civil Security Fleet operates both in space and in planet-based activities wich require (in some cases) the combined efforts of multiple corps' expertise and skills. Because of this, within each region (and subsequent systems) in CSF space have both a NAVCOM (Navy Command) and a MARCOM (Marine Command) structure to ensure cohesiveness across all corps.

NAVCOM
The Navy Command is an overarching command structure within the CSF that utilises the Freighters, Frigates and Commanders at it's disposal to achieve various large scale fleet objectives. These often include (but are not limited to):
  • Maintaining diplomatic relations with other local Civilisations (i.e. protecting an allied Traveller's planet from unprovoked PVP attacks).
  • Distribution of supplies across CSF space to ensure an abundance of resources for new Travellers that find themselves there.
  • Deploying Fleet Battle Groups and coordinating with fleet Commanders to ensure their individual fleets are suited to their role.
  • Maintaining a clear line of communication between all NAVCOM officers as well as MARCOM officers.
MARCOM
The Marine Command is the other overarching command structure within the CSF that utilises ground assets and infantry tactics, as their objectives are regularly planet-based. Typical objectives taken on would include (but not be limited to):
  • Ensuring a stable and efficient route of supplies to deployed marines.
  • Maintaining a clear line of communication between all MARCOM officers as well as NAVCOM officers.
  • Deploying CSF Marines on both humanitarian and combat operations (both with and without NAVCOM support).

NAVCOM (Navy Command) Ranks[ | ]

Rank Image Rank Title Description Required In-Game Title
Navcom-1-pilot Pilot A Pilot is the first rank in the NAVCOM rank structure, and is primarily given to Travellers who are new to the galaxy and are still finding their way. As a Pilot, Travellers can learn new skills and get assistance from other Travellers, and (if desired) seek promotion. "Pilot"
Navcom-2-wing-commander Wing Commander A Wing Commander normally commands a fighter squadron of five (including themselves), and (when on duty) are stationed within a designated system to ensure maximum squadron effictiveness and responsiveness. "Wing Commander"
Navcom-3-captain Captain Captains (while still expected to engage in ship to ship combat) are primarily expected to maintain a servicable freighter, in line with a desired (or designated) fleet type. This ensures that freighters deployed across CSF space are suited to the space their in.

In the absence of a present Commodore, a Captain has the NAVCOM authority over the system they are deployed to. This includes command over deployed fighter squadrons (yeilding only to superior rank).

"Captain"
Navcom-4-commodore Commodore A Commodore oversees the day to day operations and needs of up to three systems within CSF space. Within these assigned systems (usually within Hyperdrive range of each other) NAVCOM authority falls to the Commodore (yielding only to superior rank). "Commodore"
Navcom-5-vice-admiral Vice Admiral Vice Admirals liaise with Commodores and distribute fleet resources According to the needs of the systems they oversee. A Vice Admiral will sometimes be responsible for up to four commodores.

Here the NAVCOM authority in falls to the Vice Admiral (yielding only to superior rank).

This rank is assigned and must be applied for internally
Navcom-6-fleet-admiral Fleet Admiral Fleet Admirals are responsible for the safety and security of those within the Region of CSF space assigned to them. A Fleet Admiral's NAVCOM authority usually ends at the borders of their region, but cooperation between CSF Fleet Admirals sometimes allow this to be extended. This rank is assigned and must be applied for internally

MARCOM (Marine Command) Ranks[ | ]

Rank Image Rank Title Description Required In-Game Title
Marcom-1-private Private A marine Private is the first rank acheivable within the MARCOM rank structure. Much like the rank of Pilot (for NAVCOM), this is an introductory rank and intended to help Travellers become better accquainted with the galaxy, while also providing more surface-based objectives. "Conscript"
Marcom-2-corporal Corporal A Corporal is given more responsibilities and will often be deployed by their squad's Sergeant to lead scouting missions when NAVCOM is not able to provide reconnaissance. More skills can be learned here as well as further promotion. "Flagbearer"
Marcom-3-sergeant Sergeant As a Sergeant, Travellers are given command of a five person marine squad. When deployed a Sergeant is responsible for the safety of their squad members and innocent Travellers.

MARCOM authority (when cut off from all other superior ranks ONLY) falls to the squad's Sergeant.

"Enemy Slayer"
Marcom-4-captain Captain A Captain (much the same as in NAVCOM) is responsible for the active deployment of up to four squads at any given time, as well as being responsiblle for setting up defence infrastructure in an area of operation.

MARCOM authority (when deployed) falls to the Captain (yielding only to superior rank).

"Ranger"
Marcom-5-commander Commander A Commander is responsible for the large scale deployment of marine garrisons and coordinating planet-wide assaults if necessary. Planet-wide assaults can ONLY be authorised by Commander or above.

MARCOM authority over such operations and troop movements, falls to the Commander (yeilding only to superior rank).

"Emissary"
Marcom-6-marshal-commander Marshal Commander A Marshal Commander is in command of all MARCOM personnel and deployment for the assigned region of CSF space. This includes the processing of requests to NAVCOM for supply, troop and armament transportation (this may also include space-based and / or ground based combat support).

The Marshal Commander is expected to maintain good relations with the Fleet Admiral of the region and work in collaboration to effect cohesiveness.

This rank is assigned and must be applied for internally
