Cactus Jelly can be turned in for Nanites on board the Anomaly. The amount of nanites rewarded depends on the random mood of the buyer NPC, Cronus. His mood changes with each purchase. An average of roughly 75 nanites per Cactus Jelly was seen in one test with a sample size of 30. This appeared much higher than the nanite reward for either Refined Sugar or Cactus Nectar (test sample size 10), both of which are also made from Cactus Flesh. The food must be turned in one at a time, so turning in 100 can take a little time and cause intense boredom, but reliably getting 7500 nanites in a few minutes might be worthwhile to some players. Mods that increase the speed of NPC dialogue might be useful.
