Catalyst elements are one of the eight divisions of the resources in No Man's Sky.

Catalyst elements (the game also uses the organic elements term) are mainly used for charging defensive technologies. Also used for crafting various products.

Also glyph 2 / 16, glyph 5 / 16, glyph 8 / 16, glyph 11 / 16, glyph 14 / 16 and glyph 16 / 16 are need to be charged with these type of elements, before a portal could be activated.
