Chosh 80-G7 is a planet.

Summary[]

Chosh 80-G7 is a large Violent planet star system Wagori XVIII on PC Version No Man's Sky universe.

Planet Information[]

An awe-inspiring but perilous volcanic planet with conditions so inhospitable, only burnt trees and artificial fauna can survive.

Alias names[]

All Original: Chosh 80-G7
PC Current: Chosh 80-G7

Geology[]

Chosh 80-G7 Terrain

Mathematical. The terrain is a more mountainous version of the "Mountains" terrain archetype.

Chosh 80/G7 is a tectonically hyperactive planet. Tagged as a "Violent Planet", volcanoes are everywhere and they erupt so explosively and frequently, it causes magma to literally rain from the sky. The terrain is rough and rugged, having many hills, mountains and volcanoes, sometimes resulting in spectacular sights. Strangely, despite being so volcanically active, there is some sort of water here that doesn't dry up despite the superheated conditions. As a result, one can see oceans, lakes and rivers. Oceans are relatively deep, going down to a depth of 85u at its lowest point discovered.

The planet's geology is described as "Mathematical". Its core is composed primarily of Gold, the reason why the lava is yellowish in color. However, it is found that the planet may not have much time to live. Analysis of the rock formations suggests an age of appx. 6.04 billion years. However, there is evidence of the planet's pressure under the crust is building up over time. As a result, tectonic activity on the surface is increasing. When it reaches the point when the crust is no longer able contain it, the planet will detonate and explode. Estimated time to destruction is appx. 7 million years. Not much time for the planet, but lots and lots of time for travelers to take advantage of seeing an endless fireworks display.

Atmosphere and Climate[]

Chosh 80-G7 is nasty

Last recorded picture of a traveler before the planet's extreme conditions ended them...

The planet's atmosphere is composed mainly of Thamium9 and Sulphurine. For the most part, it is covered in volcanic soot, reducing the amount of starlight going through the atmosphere. Supposedly, frequent volcanic eruptions covering the atmosphere with volcanic particles result in a volcanic winter, but the Thamium9 seems to absorb and intensify the heat, resulting in temperatures of around 100C (212F). But when the volcanoes all start erupting, and they erupt very frequently (up to 4 times a day!), Magma Rain can occur. Add the planet's powerful dry wind storms, and the planet literally starts to burn. The sound of the wind resembles a flame thrower at full blast. This increases the temperature to a scorching hot 316C (600F) while darkening the atmosphere. Fortunately, areas closer to water seem to have reduced wildfires.

Things to Do[]

Chosh 80-G7 Safe Fireworks Watching

One of the things to do here is enjoying the never-ending fireworks from the safety and comforts of home.

The planet's violent, frequent and hyperactive volcanic eruptions are a very dangerous fireworks display lasting seemingly forever. If a traveler is very, very well-equipped and prepared with lots of Phosphorus or Ion Battery to recharge the heat protection module, watching volcanoes erupt all around is quite the spectacle that never gets old. When a Magma Rain event occurs, the planet starts to literally burn as molten gold rains down on the surface while the dry storm winds fan the flames. On areas where volcanoes are more explosive, the molten gold is still hot, causing the rain to light up the ash-covered sky, especially at night (not in-game, this is just flavor text).

The rough terrain and frequent volcanoes makes the planet a very good location for some wild exocraft driving. Go off-roading with the Roamer and navigate through challenging terrain. Hop into a Nomad or Pilgrim and do big jumps from mountain to volcano. Find a volcano and time your jumps properly for the most epic possible results. Make sure there is a storm for better scenery. Once the volcano starts spewing out steam or making ominous noises, hit the gas and jump! You can either go through the explosion or jump in the nick of time, enter photo mode, and take an epic screenshot of a narrowly getting blasted.

If the heat is too much, go underwater and explore the depths. The flora is influenced by the planet's heat and hyperactive tectonic activity. Find pineapple-like rock formations that resemble some sort of uninhabited settlement. Unfortunately, no one lives in the pineapples under this sea.

If one is insane enough to call such an inhospitable hellscape home, build a base in the middle of a cluster of volcanoes. Make yourself at home and enjoy the everlasting fireworks. Just make sure the materials are strong enough to withstand such abuse!

Life[]

Chosh 80-G7 Artificial Fauna

Artificial fauna, burnt flora and insane travelers are the only ones who can survive such an inhospitable world.

Chosh 80-G7 Light Amidst Darkness

Very hardy flora surviving the harsh conditions while Storm Crystals light the surroundings, like life and light amidst darkness and despair.

Note: This section is under development.
The conditions here are so inhospitable, only extremely hardy flora, artificial fauna and really insane travelers can survive. Despite the data saying flora "sparse" and fauna is "generous", it is false - they should be reversed, as there is quite a lot of flora but barely any fauna - It should be the other way around. Flora is generous, though in the form of Carbon-rich dead and burnt trees and Cyto-Phosphate underwater bioluminescent plants. Artificial fauna on the other hand, is sparse. They are spread thin across the planet and are found usually farther away from volcanic areas. Conditions underwater are too unfavorable for any fauna - not a single water creature can be found anywhere, save for Abyssal Horrors.

Flora[]

Burnt trees, dead trees, a few really hardy scorched planet plants.

Fauna[]

2 species of artificial fauna plus the usual Abyssal Horrors underwater.

Bases[]

EK Khan Vacation Home Better

The Khan's Vacation Home is a base located on top of a rock formation surrounded by 6 active volcanoes.

Lore[]

Chosh 80-G7 Burning Khan

The ruler of the Eyfert Khannate really, really loves this planet. "This is fine!" He says.

This section is Fan Fiction. The information found here is not an actual part of the released game, but a user-invented addition to the wiki.

After the universe-changing event, Ezegnegch encountered new volcanic planets and immediately fell in love with them.
