Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds are a type of Corrupted Sentinel.
Summary[ | ]
Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds are heavily-armoured 4-legged corrupted Sentinel units found on planets with corrupted sentinels. They are seen guarding Dissonance Resonators and aid Corrupted Sentinel Drones in Corrupted Sentinel encounters.
Behaviour[ | ]
On planets with corrupted Sentinels, Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds are found protecting dissonance resonators alongside Corrupted Sentinel drones and also start appearing in wave 3 of a Corrupted Sentinel Fight. They attack players if it or a nearby Corrupted Sentinel is attacked or if a player is seen attacking a dissonance resonator.
When engaged in combat, they mainly use their grenade launcher to attack enemies, dealing medium to high amounts of damage. They are also known to pounce at their opponents, dealing damage on contact. Similarly to their non-corrupted counterparts, they can also go invisible for a short time, typically between 2 to 5 seconds. However upon further inspection a purple mist/outline is visible, indicating their presence. Also similarly to other Corrupted enemies, Corrupted Quadrupeds can use their flamethrower in close range, dealing devastating damage.
Quadruped Swarm[ | ]

In addition to their other attacks, Corrupted Sentinel Quadrupeds can summon mini versions of themselves, referred to by the NMS website as a corrupted swarm. While they are much weaker when comparing them to their larger counterparts, they are more aggressive in melee range. Due to their "volatile circuitry", Quadruped swarms can randomly explode, especially at low health, dealing moderate damage, so it is best to maintain distance when battling them.
