Origins of Eisvana[ | ]
Atlas, the digital God of the universal simulation, attempted for the first time a reset, but only in the 10th out of the 256 galaxies, and that mostly succeeded. Unbeknownst to Him, a resilient group of interloper souls escaped the distorted algorithm, bound tightly as they were to each other and to the Eissentam galaxy. For the first time in the history of resets, they reemerged in the new simulation, slightly altered, yet retaining memories of their previous, harmonious existence. Intrigued by this "anomaly of anomalies", Atlas chose to transform it into a deliberate feature, eager to observe its unfolding. As the new simulation commenced, he scattered these interlopers across the eastern expanse of the galaxy, challenging them against the odds. Amidst the murky, glitchy, and disorienting realms of extreme coordinates, he wondered if their transcendent bonds would prove strong enough to reunite them and forge a new tapestry of simulated souls.
The interloper souls soon found themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of drama and chaos. Their transcendent bonds were tested to the limit as they teetered on the brink of losing themselves within the vast confines of the galaxy, with no hope of ever crossing paths again. As they turned away from the galactic center, the interloper souls ventured further into the depths of the galaxy, only to encounter an invisible wall at the nebula's fringe - a mysterious boundary where stars shimmer, but travel towards them is futile.
Few details of their travel is known, as time seemed to stretch beyond the capacities of flesh and digital based memories. Vashana, a seeker soul, had a vision of a mysterious loop where converging energies resided. Ashtwoni, another entity, skillfully connected the elements of this vision, crafting a mental map that ignited inspiration within the interloper souls. Filled with renewed hope, all the seeking entities dedicated their life-sparks to the transcendent bond, surpassing the limitations of the physical realm. The vision intertwined their souls, unbreakable unity formed. Divine beacons of music and light brought them together in a celestial dance. Their transcendent bonds reunited them within a compact space formed by seven interconnected regions, creating a mesmerizing 3-dimensional infinity loop. They named the space "Eisvana", becoming the joyful Eisvanians, bearers of peace and harmony. A new civilization was born, promising marvelous discoveries and great prospects.
The Gibs Dissonance[ | ]
In the distant reaches of the Eissentam Galaxy, there existed a Civilization called Eisvana, and their capital was a planet called Accordia. It was a paradise — a lush world teeming with vibrant life, where the Eisvanian people thrived amidst bioluminescent forests over perfect green grassy hills, crystal-clear seas, and skies painted in hues of azure. The Eisvanians revered Accordia as their sanctuary, a place where harmony reigned and beauty knew no bounds. The planet’s flora and fauna were unlike anything found elsewhere in the galaxy. The bioluminescent trees emitted a soft, ethereal glow, casting enchanting patterns across the forest floor. The seas sparkled with iridescent colors, and the skies held a perpetual promise of hope. But fate is a fickle companion. One day, a cosmic event — a shift in the very fabric of the universe — occurred. The consequences were profound. Accordia was no longer the paradise it once was. The transformation was swift and merciless.
The sky, once a brilliant blue canvas, turned murky and oppressive. The sun’s rays struggled to penetrate the thick, sulfurous clouds that now hung low over the land. The bioluminescent trees, once a source of wonder, twisted and contorted into grotesque forms. Their glow dimmed, replaced by an eerie phosphorescence that cast unsettling shadows. The seas, once pristine and life-giving, became stagnant and foul. The water turned murky, choked with algae and pollutants. The once-playful waves now lapped against the shores with a mournful rhythm. The Eisvanians wept for their lost paradise, their tears mixing with the tainted waters. Yet, despite the catastrophe, Accordia clung to life. Strange and resilient creatures adapted to the new conditions. Swampy marshlands replaced pristine forests, and the air carried a pungent odor. The Eisvanians, hearts heavy with grief, vowed not to completely abandon their home. They would endure, even as the planet transformed around them.
In their sorrow, they discovered a hidden resilience. They built floating cities atop the murky waters, their architecture blending with the twisted trees. The once-celestial skies now held a different kind of beauty — a haunting allure that drew travelers from distant galaxies. Accordia became a place of melancholic wonder, where visitors marveled at the strange, otherworldly landscape. The Eisvanians, ever resourceful, sought a new purpose. They became stewards of their altered world, tending to the sickly flora and studying the mutated creatures. They found solace in their shared struggle, their determination to survive against all odds. And so, the Eisvanians embarked on a quest — a cosmic pilgrimage to find a new home. They sought a planet that echoed the spirit of Accordia — a place where life could flourish, where beauty and resilience coexisted. They yearned for familiarity but also novelty, a balance between the old and the unexplored. Their starships sailed through the galactic expanse, guided by hope and the memory of their lost paradise. They encountered barren worlds, hostile environments, and celestial wonders beyond imagination. Yet, none quite matched the essence of Accordia.
One day, they will find it — a planet bathed in soft twilight, its skies a blend of pastel hues. Verdant forests stretching across rolling hills, and pristine lakes reflecting the stars. The Eisvanians will step onto this new world, their hearts swelling with both nostalgia and anticipation. Will they name it “Nouvelle Accordia”? It’s too soon for that. But it will be a testament to their resilience and their commitment to welcoming all who seek refuge. This “new Accordia” will surely embrace them — the weary travelers, the curious explorers, and the displaced beings from distant civilizations. It will become a beacon of hope, a place where the past intertwins with the future. And so, the Eisvanians will flourish once more. The new Capital will not be a replica of their old paradise — it will be something different, yet equally precious.

On the Worship of Beetles[ | ]
We know the secrets of this universe that we love. We know that it is little more than a facade, and fragile beneath - and how fragile, how easily broken it is! Even so, there is beauty in the facade. Why does the fragility matter? Life is not a question. From the simulation we find friendship and joy. It nurtures our spirits and our hearts.
So it is that the scarab is sacred. It is an echo of the simulation itself; fragile beneath its shell, but no less beautiful for that. More sacred still are those rare symbiotes of the alien cordyceps, nurturing their fungal growths just as we are nurtured by the multitude of worlds.
Therefore, do not mock the temples and shrines we build to the beetles. Our creations are our own small simulation in their habitat, and our worship within them a meditation on the vast glory of the universe itself.
Known Mystic Beetles and their Aura[ | ]
Eternoptera[ | ]
Eternoptera, the mystic beetle, possesses extraordinary spiritual powers that transcend the physical realm. These enlightened creatures are revered as the intermediaries between beings and the Great Mushroom Beetle, guiding seekers on the path of spiritual enlightenment. Temples and shrines dedicated to the worship of the great mushroom beetle are scattered across the galaxy, serving as sacred sanctuaries where travellers can seek wisdom, commune with the divine, and undergo transformative experiences. These temples are hallowed grounds, resonating with the energy of countless souls who have embarked on the journey of rebirth through the cycles of Atlas.
Enigmara[ | ]
This sacred beetle is a large insect-like creature that is found roaming the bountiful oceans of planet Anfranka. It is the bearer of harmony and peace to the Eisvanians. It has a gentle and docile nature, and it follows the commands of the superior mushroom beetle, who is the only one who can communicate with it telepathically. Enigmara helps the Eisvanians in many ways: it provides them with food by filtering plankton from the water, and it heals them with its chlorophyll glands, producing a serum that is used to treat various diseases.
Abyssalwing[ | ]
The Abyssalwing dwell in the milk-warm seas of planet Wimbrom. These social creatures exhibit remarkable tenderness in caring for their young and sick. As scavengers, they sustain themselves by consuming the delicate remnants of plankton, utilizing their calcified claws. The Eisvanians see their social nature and caretaking behavior as a reflection of interconnectedness, even without any form of verbal communication.
Mystara[ | ]
The mystic beetle is a remarkable creature that inhabits the seas of Mycarthassandra. It has a shiny carapace that reflects the sunlight, and a pair of antennae that sense the subtle changes in the water currents. It has a long lifespan, reaching up to a hundred years, and a remarkable memory that spans generations. It can foresee the future events that affect its environment, such as the arrival of predators, the shifting of seasons, or the occurrence of natural disasters. It adapts to these changes by altering its behavior, such as hiding, migrating, or reproducing. It feeds on the organic matter that sinks from the surface, such as dead plankton, algae, or fish. It does not compete with other creatures, but rather coexists with them in harmony. It is revered by the Eisvanians, who consider it a sacred animal and a symbol of wisdom. They have built a shrine for it on the shore, where they offer prayers and gifts. They call it by a holy name, which means "the One who knows".
Carnivine[ | ]
On planet Late Nonveg lives a carnivorous beetle that is holy to the Eisvanians. The beetle is known for its quick-witted and sharp nature, which helps it prey upon unsuspecting birds who lingered too low to the ground. The beetle's cautious nature reflects the sudden and violent cruelty of its own crude "society". People believe that the beetle is a symbol of strength and resilience, and they rever it as a sacred creature. Despite its fearsome reputation, the beetle has a softer side. It is known to sweat milk, which is a source of nourishment for the infants of every fauna on Late Nonveg. The Eisvanians believe that the beetle's milk is a gift from the Atlas, and they cherish it as a symbol of the beetle's mysterious benevolence.
Xenophagia[ | ]
Xenophagia is revered by the Eisvanians of Thgates Kita. Long ago, it embarked on an unending quest for sustenance, traversing vast expanses. Stranded adventurers, desperate and hungry, encountered this enigmatic creature. Its diet? Di-hydrogen crystals — a feast that sustained its celestial essence. It is particularly known for its saliva, a potent elixir that dissolves di-hydrogen crystals without the need for mastication. Its very touch transforms these crystalline structures, releasing energy akin to cosmic alchemy. Eisvanians revere this process as a sacred transmutation — a bridge between the mundane and the celestial. Despite its ethereal nature, it harbors primal instincts. It drinks blood, a paradoxical communion with life force. Perhaps this act binds it to both mortality and immortality. Ultimately this is what Xenophagia stands for: an intricate dance across cosmic realms.
Skullcrusher[ | ]
The say that one fateful day, Atlas focused on the planet Buyam. There lived a humble beetle — a creature that scurried through the underbrush. He saw potential in this tiny insect, a spark of primal ferocity that transcended its size. He bestowed upon it gifts that defied the simulation itself. The beetle's mandibles elongated, becoming razor-sharp blades capable of slicing through bone and sinew. And its skull thickened, providing protection against any adversary. He also infused the beetle with fearlessness — an unyielding spirit that knew no bounds. The Skullcrusher Beetle would fear no predator, no matter how colossal. It would hunt without hesitation, its hunger insatiable. Since then, the Eisvanians revered the beetle.
They build shrines in its honor, offering prayers for strength and fearlessness. The Skullcrusher Beetle is a living legend, revered and feared in equal measure as a symbol of unwavering courage — a reminder that even the smallest among them could defy fate.
Wormstrong[ | ]
On the distant planet Iquerqua, lived a peculiar beetle named Wormstrong. Its existence defied gravity, for it floated effortlessly above the arid ground, its tiny legs dangling like delicate tendrils. Wormstrong wore a mushroom cap on its back — a perfect shelter from the harsh elements. The mushroom was a curious blend of earthy brown and luminescent green, and it whispered secrets to Wormstrong whenever the wind rustled its gills.
The Quest for Scented Flowers: Wormstrong's senses were finely tuned. Its olfactory receptors quivered at the slightest hint of fragrance. And what fragrance, you ask? None other than the mist - rich flowers that dotted the barren landscape. These flowers, invisible to most eyes, exuded scents that could intoxicate even the most stoic of space travellers. One day, Wormstrong became aware about the rarest of these flowers — the elusive Nebula Nectar. Legends spoke of its petals shimmering like stardust, and its aroma carrying the memories of forgotten galaxies. This was a flying flower. To find it, it was necessary to battle the Celestial Breezes, a very strong altitude current. Wormstrong was undeterred. The cap on its back had revealed a mighty secret: it was capable of riding the giant worm that ceaselessly travelled from the earth to the air and back underground. Clinging to its mighty ride, it dodged vortexes and pirouetted through eddies. Finally, at the heart of the Breezes, Wormstrong found the Nebula Nectar. Its petals shimmered like opals, and its scent carried echoes of paradise. Wormstrong drank from its delicate cup, and memories flooded its mind — the birth of galaxies, the whispers of ancient beings, and the cosmic dance of time. And so, Wormstrong became a legend — a beacon of curiosity and courage. It continued to float, its mushroom cap glowing with newfound wisdom. Whenever danger approached, it fled, but not out of fear. No, it fled because there were more scents to unravel, and more winds to explore.
Eisvanians have developed a deep respect for Wormstrong, and realise pilgrimages to that place. You will easily find some member of its family on Iquerqua.
Partnering with the Guilds[ | ]
Mercenaries[ | ]
After the Eisvanians were brought into the new simulation, they found that large parts of the eastern fringe was occupied by outlaw forces. Since the outlaws greatly outnumbered the Eisvanians, there was little chance in defeating them. While trying to hide and seeking shelter, they encountered a member of the mercenaries guild who was currently trying to hunt down pirates who stole from one of the treasuries of the guild. Recognising that they shared a common enemy, the Eisvanians joined forces with the mercenaries and managed to pushed the pirates back. Because the pushback of the pirates was a mutual interest, no compensation was necessary. The battles were tough, and to this day, small, unorganised groups of pirates are scattered throughout remote systems of Eisvana. In order to prevent the pirates from gaining new allies and spreading again, the mercenaries maintain a presence in three of Eisvana's regions in order to be able to respond quickly in case of an emergency. The war on the pirates is still going on, although it's not the priority anymore, since hunting down the last few pirates will take a lot of time and resources. There are still smaller conflicts from time to time, when pirate freighters warp into Eisvana-controlled space, or civilian freighters warp into outlaw space on accident. To keep the casualties as low as possible, every freighter that departs a system in Eisvana is equipped with a defence chit to immediately call for help should anything happen to them.
Explorers[ | ]
With the pirate problem mostly out of the way, the task at hand was to map the regions and create charts of Eisvana's occupied space. To speed up this process, the explorers guild who recently set up outposts in the fade to research its oddities, was hired. Since the economic situation was still difficult in the early days of the civilization, a deal was made that allowed the explorers guild to use two entire regions as their base of operations while conducting their research in these anomalous regions.
Merchants[ | ]
Over time, more and more freighters full of valuable, never seen before cargo from the fade arrived in the more densely populated regions of the galaxy. Noticing this, the merchants guild sent their envoys to scout the systems from which these materials originated. After arriving and seeing the economic potential of these unique substances, the envoys requested to set up shops and outposts along the busiest trade routes. This request was granted, and Eisvana continues to profit from the increased market activity.
Symbolism[ | ]
Logo[ | ]
Eisvana's logo has a few hidden symbols related to the lore. The planet is our capital planet, to symbolise the centre of the civilization. The Atlas icon and the lurking Atlas orb in the back show the Atlas who is responsible for the existence of Eisvana. The infinity symbol in front of the planet stands for the eternal persistence of the Eisvanians who escaped the reset.
Flag[ | ]
Like the logo, Eisvana's flag is full of hidden meanings. The triangle on the flag symbolises a starship flying away. The surrounding purple is dragged along with the ship, representing the people who followed the ship to the new frontier. Although the ship's lights are quite strong (the white part of the flag), there are still unknown regions (dark green). The line above the arrow on the flag represents the end of an era. The new era is represented by the purple block towards which the arrow points.
