Planet Information[]

Original notes: A large, near-featureless desert with vast expanses of rolling plains and a few massive caves. The storm-free and clear weather gives a false sense of security, as dangerous fauna lurk at every corner.

Geology[]

Eoti Fault Line — A long fault line like this one breaks the monotony of near-featureless smoothness.

Eoti is a mostly geologically inactive planet. It features vast and smooth plains of nearly flat elevation throughout almost the entire planet. Hills are occasional and are usually a good distance away from each other. Some hills have large flat areas, ideal for base building.

Rarely, one can find fault lines and gargantuan caves in some of the more hilly areas. These caves are so massive, even the largest of hauler-type starships can fly right through them with plenty of space to spare. Besides them, the planet is mostly featureless and flat.

Atmosphere and Climate[]

Though the weather is clear, there is actually a thin veil of dust on the upper atmosphere, refracting light for a dirtier sky color and look. The clear weather is due to the lack of any dust or heat storms. Temperatures are at a liveable 23.1C at day, plummeting to polar vortex territory at around -60.2C at night, though this lasts for just a few hours before temperatures start rising again.

Eoti is a large desert planet infamous for its predator headcrabs, earning it the name headcrablandia. Several explorers, some elite rank, have fallen to them. Compared to the predators of Yitammo Nubeitun and Ritanas Unkyo, they are unusually deadly due to the large swaths of sticky web their colonies tend to produce, especially near brooding nests. Complicating matters is that the web is coated by an equally sticky goo-like substance that becomes even stickier when doused with liquid.

As more soldiers and scouts landed, they saw an opportunity for the Eyfert Khannate Elite Army training regimen, serving as the 11th and final stage. Not long after, mass headcrab killings ensued, but due to the unusually short gestation cycle and the tens and hundreds of brood for each birth, the population didn't even dwindle. But this is actually a good thing because they are actually very, very delicious. The high numbers enable mass production of a highly sought-after food, safe for Kinderkin consumption. It is still very expensive though, despite being in high supply.

It didn't take long for megacorporations from the Ilbingew Band and Apstey-Sovos to start creating a secondary headquarters in the new region. A very large company called Emisso Conglomerate has established many meat grinding factories due to the high demand for quality headcrab meat. Soon, the very dangerous desert planet Eoti became The Crab Bucket of the Eyfert Khannate.
