Exotic elements are one of the original five divisions of the periodic table in No Man's Sky.
Summary[ | ]
Exotic elements (formerly known as Precious elements) are very rare, and extremely lucrative when sold in Galactic markets.
All elements in the Exotic family have an icon with a purple background when shown in the players inventory, or on the No Man's Sky periodic table.
When a scan is taken of an area, locations with Exotic elements are tagged with a purple diamond-shaped icon.

Known members of the Exotic elements family are Omegon (Om), Radnox (Ra), Murrine (Mu), and Calium (Ca).
The Foundation Update added the elements Cymatygen (Cy), Kelp Sac (Ks), Rubeum (Ru), and Viridium (Vi).
