Expedition Reward Patch/Decal
Expedition 5: Exobiology Redux describes the re-release of the fifth expedition in No Man's Sky. This is a slightly easier version of the original expedition, with a shorter running time but the same rewards.

This page documents the redux of the fifth expedition of No Man's Sky, called Exobiology. It ran from 24th Nov – 8th Dec 2022.
Gameplay[ | ]
Exobiology is focused primarily on discovering and interacting with the strange and varied alien creatures inhabiting the universe.
Each Traveller will begin their journey in a lonely star system devoid of wildlife, but with a towering bipedal creature companion to accompany them. Journey across the expedition route to meet majestic diplos, gather eggs and endeavour to impress Iteration: Cronus with your baking skills. Discover new species inhabiting anomalous worlds and ocean depths, befriend and nurture new companions, rendezvous with other players, and much more.
All players start on the Frozen planet of Koma in the Liaiutsia XI system. They are about 740u from their broken starship, located at a random point of interest. The starting starship is a random S-Class explorer with 15+4 slots.
In addition to the blueprints known at the beginning of normal mode, the player also knows the following blueprints:

- Constructed Technology
The starting Multi-tool in Expedition 5 is a random C-class alien pistol with 7 slots and Analysis Visor pre-installed.
The Exosuit is initially equipped with two cold protection upgrades and an X-Class upgrade to a Hazard Protection system; has a Portable Refiner in the inventory; and has 12+24 slots. The initial avatar appearance is randomly-generated.
