A Gek on an extreme scorched planet - these planet are characterised with high temperatures (325.9°C during sandstorms)

Extreme Planet are a hazardous type of planet.

Summary[]

Extreme Planet is a type planet that is particularly inhospitable with a very turbulent climate. Each Biome (except dead planets) can have very difficult weather. On these planets, Hazard Protection is consumed very quickly (about a minute and even less during very frequent Storms).

When a player lands on an inhospitable planet, the weather setting is written in red to indicate a dangerous climate. This type of planet has the particularity that stellar metal; Copper in yellow Star systems, Cadmium in red systems, Emeril in green systems, and Indium in blue systems - are in an activated state. When scanning a planet in a Starship, if you find Activated Copper, Activated Cadmium, Activated Emeril or Activated Indium in the resources, that planet is extreme. These activated resources have the particularity of producing more shiny metal and having a higher commercial value.

Protection[]

In Space Stations, it is possible to buy additional shields against specific dangers, which allows you to last longer on these planets. The shields must be recharged either with Sodium, Sodium Nitrate, or with Ion Batteries, made from Cobalt.

Characteristics[]

  • Scorched: Very high temperature (about 100°C), sandstorms during which it can be up to 350°C.
  • Frozen: Intense snow, temperature of about -90 to -100°C, blizzards are very frequent. During which, the temperature drops to -130°C.
  • Toxic: Much higher toxicity than normal, intense toxic precipitation. Toxic storms can go up to 120 Tox (toxicity unit).
  • Irradiated: Much higher radiation levels (about 10 Rad), radioactive dust storms cause the radiation level to rise to 30 Rad.
  • Barren: Temperature of about 50 to 70°C during the day, -100°C at night, with very frequent scorching sandstorms, where the temperature can reach 150°C.
  • Lush: Permanent intense rainfall, scorching rainstorms (over 100°C) very frequent.
  • Gas Giant: Permanent storms, high temperatures (over 100°C) and frequent tornadoes.
