Ezdaranit Initiative is a civilized space community.

Summary[]

Ezdaranit Initiative is a Civilized space community.

It is located in the Sea of Gaspira region of the Ezdaranit galaxy.

Mission[]

The Ezdaranit Initiative aims to map out regions of the Ezdaranit Galaxy (#170) With three main goals: Research, Exploration, and Expansion. This is partly at the behest of the Vy'keen, who fund much of this Initiative's expeditions. Research applies to the documentation of planetary lifeforms whether that be flora or fauna, ground level or below, as well as mineral and nutrient presence, ground level or below. Further research is given to the study of any present race within a system, how the economy functions, and that economy's health, as well as the nature of the political environments within each system. Research will and should also expand to chronicling interstellar events such as but not limited to the discovery of anomalous structure and beings, as well as derelict entities. Derelict entities are to be assessed for presence of life and if no life is to be found, assessed for presence of useful materials that IF present will be confiscated to further the efforts of the initiative.

Exploration applies to the efforts of travelling to star systems and planets within a predesignated region of the Ezdaranit Galaxy and performing preliminary scans of those star systems and the planets within them. This will include taking note of the class of stars, number of stars present, number of planets and moons present as well as noting the information provided by a starship scan. On occasion, an explorer may double as a ground level researcher should a planet return curious information, or the level of potential danger would need be assessed prior to advancing a research team. It goes without saying that exploration and research go hand in hand at the forefront.

Expansion applies to the preparation and assistance with inhabiting predesignated worlds by members of the Initiative, its colleagues and hopeful outliers. ( A hopeful outlier is someone who belongs to no collective but may be suitable and ready to join one) The initiative, while funded by the Vy'keen, is not anti-collaborative, in fact; being quite the opposite. The overarching goal that the three main goals embody is the goal of bringing travelers from the far edges of civilized space to the Ezdaranit Galaxy and populating said galaxy as it is the current consensus that a large percentage of busy life belongs to the Euclid Galaxy and its nearest neighbors. This has presented a challenge to the Vy'Keen in trade, research, and the development of outlying star systems. Where in regions where traveler traffic is little to none, pirate systems, and entire system economy collapses are a regular occurrence. The Ezdaranit Initiative will spearhead the goals and ideals embodied in the outlined goals above, even making room for Gek in a way that is considered highly progressive within the officiating ranks of the Vy'Keen.

Background[]

The Ezdaranit Initiative was first drafted as a response to low-level traveler influence within the Ezdaranit system a week prior to this posting. With many of its regions being lawless or abandoned, though containing many viable planets for home world habitation, and a high number of resources available, the Vy'Keen and one traveler could not understand why this should continue to be the case. So here we are, ready to research, explore, and expand!

Naming Guidelines[]

We have begun naming planets and star systems by including the influence of the Ezdaranit Initiative and bits of the Galactic Coordinates. The first few planets and the central star system are evidence of trying different things but the Initiative has settled on as follows:

For PLANETS: Any prefix will do as long as it follows standard naming conventions as practiced by the Galactic Public (I.E no name shall be given that attempts to troll, promote hate or discrimination, promote perverseness, or include non-alphanumerical symbols as these will not correctly upload in the Galactic Database) such prefixes are to be followed by EZD and the planets GEOHASH (The first four alphanumericals found within a string of galactic coordinates). You can learn about Geohash and Galactic coordinates here: https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Galactic_Coordinates EXAMPLE: Balor EZD EXIA Founder Note: FOR PLANETS ONLY, you don't even have to include a prefix. Each geohash is unique and may suffice as a name. Ex: EZD IRNA (This already sound like a name, can be left like this if so desired.)

For STAR SYSTEMS: These will follow the rules as outlined in the For PLANETS section, with the exception being that any prefix will be followed by EZD and the star systems SSI (solar system index, this is the last four alphanumericals of a string of Galactic Coordinates) EXAMPLE: Halcyon Prime EZD 01AE

Rules[]

Rules for this civilization include:

NO GRIEFING OTHER TRAVELLERS Members are expected to follow all terms of service regardless of which galactic media platform they are interacting on, when the name and enterprise of the Ezdaranit Initiative is being represented. This includes interactions with other Civilized Space Clollectives, groups, and companies. If you feel you are being preyed upon, reach out to your nearest officer of interpersonal coordination (OIC) (Only me at present) Members may take on any form of operation that is relevant to any of the main three goals, our choose to focus on all three at once if they so wish it. All that is required on that front is to make a claim on which direction you wish to take your actions so that you may be assigned an appropriate role within the ranks. The current and only region the initiative is interested in right now is the region known as Sea of Gaspira. It is inevitable that the Initiative will expand beyond this region in time as is its overarching purpose, but while we bolster our ranks and spread the word, our focus remains here. Members who wish to explore outside of Sea of Gaspira may do so, but you will do so as an independent and not a representative of the Initiative. Which means you will not be permitted to use Initiative naming conventions during independent exploration and expansion. This is primarily for keeping records clean and orderly. The Ezdaranit Initiative, though not in itself a government, functions as a Democratic Republic, and will choose to embody such ideals. If a member is found to be in violation of the rules, or in direct opposition of the mission statement or the ideals or the initiative, Punishment will be based on a strict points system of a 5 count. Upon a 5th violation, a vote shall be held where the majority will decide the fate of the members continued association with the Initiative. There will be no favoritism.

Rules concerning tasks:

There are three main areas of focus, that can be conjoined depending on the scenario, and are indicative of the three main goals of the Initiative, Members will be allowed to willfully choose a focus, and as such will be expected to perform well in what they have volunteered for. Do not apply if you plan to do nothing.

Research: Travel to planets and conduct extensive research into the biomes, lifeforms, minerals and viable nutrients available. This means reporting findings to a Records officer (also currently only me, apply today!) so that they may upload the information to the Galactic Library. researchers will be responsible for naming their findings. This is mandatory.

Exploration: Travel to star systems, take notes of star class, number of stars, galactic coords and take note of habitation viable or interesting planets. You will also take note of the local economy, its wealth status, dominant race, and political environment. Explorers will be responsible for naming star systems, as well as communicating with coordination officers the availability of habitation viable planets (a non-extreme planet) this is mandatory.

Expansion: The builders specialization. You will travel to mapped out, NAMED planets and establish outposts. Outposts will follow naming conventions. You WILL NOT attempt to colonize any non-designated planets. EX: Backwater Station (geohash goes here) no need for EZDI in every outpost name as the planets and systems will make it obvious. IF the outpost is a farm of some type, be it resource, vegetation, or lifeform, such must be identifiable from the outpost name alone. EX: Nutrient farm (geohash) EX: Leopard Fruit (geohash) EX: Cadmium (geohash) Builders will also be responsible for staffing outposts with travelers. When we are large enough, you will correspond with Coordination Officers to bring in new recruits. There will be a screening process to protect the integrity and honor of the Initiative.

It will be the responsibility of ALL members to activate waypoints as they find them and take more of their planetary coordinates (found in the top right corner of your scanner visors)

All members are REQUIRED to report their findings to a Records Officer in a clear and concise manner. Some exceptions are planets, which an explorer will name, and report it to the coordination officer, who will then be responsible for providing that information to a records officer.

Side note: There are additional jobs that will become available as relevancy increases. Such as farming and the one's I've listed above, records and coordination officers. As numbers remain small, multiple tasks will fall to each traveler to aid the Initiative become a strong standing and renowned civ.

Rules will be updated as necessary, and some jobs may change according to majority rule.

If any applicants are well versed in navigating and promoting within the realms of Galactic Media, we are interested in you!
