Summary

Colonies are systems (or often smaller areas, such as a single planet or even a single island) where multiple players have created bases. The Galactic Hub's largest colonies are official colonies - colonies officially sponsored by the Hub staff - but a number of smaller, unofficial colonies also exist. Any Hub citizen is welcome to start their own colony.

Colonies

The colonies below are arranged (based on an estimation / educated guess) from most to least active.

Governed Colonies

These are colonies under the management of a currently-active Governor or under the direct governance of the Galactic Hub itself (such as the capital system). Colonies with Governors are often more active, because there's more to do than just drop a base and walk away. Activities may include competitive events, social events, player-driven / player-written missions, economic opportunities (see HubCoin), and more.

Always check with the Colony Governor before you upload any bases anywhere in a colony system! (Even if the colony only occupies a single island, trade post, etc.)

Players are encouraged to use stone or wooden base parts. The entire system is a PVP-allowed zone, so be sure to turn PVP off before entering if you're looking for a peaceful western experience. 	Totokenn City	Please check with the Governor before uploading any base. Planet: Libra Prime System: Libran	A City Beneath a Trade Post In Totokenn, rather than building many separate bases, all colony residents mutually contribute to a single base. This base is an industrial, somewhat cyberpunk-looking city beneath a Trade Outpost. For the average resident, contributing to Totokenn mostly involves decorating an apartment, then getting involved with missions and the community. Because all residents contribute to a single base, Totokenn City's population is difficult to count in an exact way. Totokenn's governor, Zaowly, pioneered this structure for colonies, as well as the concept of player-written missions for colony residents. 	Tropical Colony	Please check with the Governor before uploading any base. Planet: Owst X9 System: HUB5-4 Echolon Proxima Superior	Tropical Colony As you might expect from the name, this colony is based on a lush island. The planet is also chromatic-shifted. Interlopers in this colony settle in predetermined coastal plots, as defined by the Colony Governor, to help bases render as well as possible. Many tranquil feats of architecture can be found on the Tropical Colony's shores, predominantly constructed using wooden materials. 	Dorinish	Planet: Lamuella System: HUB4-130 Totoro	Coastal Colony The planet Lamuella hosts the colony Dorinish, the Galactic Hub's fourth official colony. Inspired by Southern California, Dorinish holds Dorinish City, a city made out of timber, and has a Hotel to settle in, as well as a Racetrack for Star Leauge and an Exocraft garage. Currently, all base spots are filled, soon Quests will be available for HubCoin. 	Rattlespine Park (Rent: 100 per Month)	Please check with the Governor before uploading any base. Planet: Imas 44/H4 System: Iskoid-Itoi	Rattlespine Park This colony offers residents private lots at a trailer park on Imas 44/H4, a desolate planet with aggressive sentinels. In exchange for 100hc/month as rent, tenants are supplied with daily mission prompts that reward back in hubcoin for completion. The missions are "roleplay" oriented - designed to give you a start to an adventure or a task to accomplish as a group. Tourism is encouraged, but building uploadable bases and communication stations in this system is RESTRICTED. Only residents of the colony may build here once approved through a build contract. Residents, both business owners and customers alike, take part in exciting auctions to get the chance of receiving goods cheaper than standard market price, and complete missions for each other to earn HubCoin. Ungoverned Colonies

These colonies currently have no active governors. Anyone may sign up to act as governor and begin implementing their own policies over the colony, within the normal bounds of Hub law and customs, or with the approval of Hub staff for policies which depart significantly from Hub norms.

	Coyllee	Planet: Coyllee System: Metroyal, a booming Vy'keen system in the Huburb Srbija region, neighboring the Sivess Instability (HUB9).	Coylee has beautiful, massive, and unique cave systems that are richly ornate, and originate at mouths of rivers, canyons, and surface gaps. It's a sun-drenched, tropical world, with no storms, chill sentinels, and giant flying mantises and crabs. There are no terrestrial predators. The planet is resplendent with red rivers, lakes and massive seas, and these waters permeate the planet's winding, endless cavern systems that are frequently navigable by Nautilon. Coylee also features forests that look like they were transplanted from Where The Wild Things, The system features a T1 barrel fighter that spawns as an S class. Surveys indicate Coyllee has a settlement of 20+ Interlopers on PC, 2 on PS4, and 2 on XBox. Make heavy use of stone textures, and use the terrain manipulator to slightly bury structures (but not too much, as visitors won't be able to dig in your base).
