The Crown (Galactic Hub Fed Building) is a player base.

Summary[ | ]

The Crown (Galactic Hub Fed Building) is a player base, located on the planet To Create (PS) in the United Federation of Travelers (Enusoph Mass) system. It honors historically significant individuals, creatures, and locations in Galactic Hub history.

Layout[ | ]

This large tower base has a small initial stairway leading to a platform. On this platform, individuals who have made major contributions to the Galactic Hub are honored:

  • AndyKrycek6, for merchandise & more. This references his work creating physical merchandise for the Galactic Hub, such as the Galactic Hub store and promotional material for contests, as well as more general contributions since very early in Galactic Hub history.
  • Seyurie, for Galactic Hub Eissentam leadership. Under her leadership, Galactic Hub Eissentam grew to be one of the largest and most successful post-Euclid civilizations.
  • seamonkey420, for dedicated service. This references his multitude of longstanding contributions to the Galactic Hub, from his wiki script generator, to his many base builds, to his consistently positive influence since very early in Galactic Hub history.
  • morgvom_org, for emblem design & more. This references the fact that he designed the emblem for the Galactic Hub which was eventually added to the game itself, in addition to many other emblems such as the United Federation of Travelers emblem and emblems for Galactic Hub chapter organizations, in addition to more general contributions dating far back in Hub history.
  • hollyvalero, for Galaxy Donuts & more. This references her chain of restaurant builds within the Galactic Hub which contributed to its culture, as well as more general contributions such as her prolific documentation efforts of multitools and starships early in Hub history.
  • Phaedrus29, for Galactic Hub Exobiology Corps leadership. This references his leadership of this organization, which spearheaded a coordinated increase in the documentation of fauna within the Galactic Hub's claimed space.
  • Pahefu, for technology innovations. This references his immeasurable contribution not only to the Galactic Hub but to all of civilized space with his Pilgrim Star Path tool which enabled navigation through the simulation long before glyphs were added to the game, and which still functions today. This, in addition to other contributions, such as exploration and other technological tools such as the 3D space-mapping tool, the "Hub Management System."
  • nmskibbles, for revolutionary builds. This references his incredible number of builds contributed to the Galactic Hub, including a majority of our arena bases for the Galactic Hub Star League, as well as more general contributions like helping new players.

The Galactic Hub emblem is prominently displayed on two slanted surfaces near these statues, and two large Galactic Hub flags (as registered with the Federation Vexillology Department) flap in the constant, steady breeze. After crossing the plateau honoring the individuals listed above, players will find a small carbon farm below glass under their feet, remotely harvested by drones and mounted robotic arms. Continuing across this glass surface, players reach a series of purple, illuminated, animated arrows directing them to climb up further.

Reaching the end of the arrow ramp, players will notice two silver diplo statues honoring extinct diplo species from past Galactic Hub capitals: Rigatori Niplatea of Drogradur NO425 (Pathfinder), and R. Musiretioe of New Lennon (PS4). A small garden on each side of the walkway features white and blue plants and crystals, the Galactic Hub's colors. Reaching the end of these gardens, players arrive at a large triangular platform, with the main tower structure rising in the center. Blue Light Fissures wrap around the tower in a helix, and message modules with major historical events in the Galactic Hub encircle the base of the tower.

  • 2016 Oct 30 - Galactic Hub Project begins
  • 2017 Apr 8 - The GH emblem is adopted
  • 2017 Apr 15 - The Federation is formed
  • 2018 Jun 30 - Ark Project begins
  • 2018 Aug 30 - GH emblem added to game

There are two message modules reserved for the future.

A teleporter on the ground level will transport visitors to the interior of the Crown. The first floor is a compact lobby area, with chairs and computer terminals, where players can meet or rest. Directly above this floor is the utility floor, densely packed with useful machinery like a Large Refiner, Appearance Modifier, Save Point, lootable crates, First Aid and Hazard Protection systems, Nutrient Processor, and a standard / long-range teleporter. Passing through a currently unused floor, reserved for future purposes, players reach the top level of the interior of the Crown. This level has four viewing bubbles to appreciate the height, and small holographic monuments record the four capital planets / systems of the Galactic Hub so far:

  • Elysium, HUB10-79 Tartarus Relay

The main structure is a large tower with multiple half-diamond-shaped decorative arches jutting from the sides. Long support cables help stabilize the tower's height. At the peak of the tower, a series of golden diplo statues and Signal Booster laser beams produce an impressive crown-like shape, earning the building its name.
