Fishing Rig is a Multi-tool upgrade that allows the player to catch fish from any body of water.

A versatile piece of angling equipment, enabling the user to fish in a variety of conditions.

Access the fishing rig by pressing // (PS4/PC/Xbox) and cast your line into a body of water with //. With a fish hooked, press and hold // to haul in your catch.

Use[ | ]

The Fishing Rig enables fishing by the player. Casting your line into any planetary body of water will attract fish, which can be seen swimming near the line after it is cast. After some time, the line will move and turn yellow, or green. If the player holds down their primary attack button when the line has turned green, a fish, or occasionally Collected Flotsam, will be added to the player's inventory.

Fishing bait can be added to the Fishing Rig, by selecting it in the Multi-tool inventory. This increases the chances of catching a rarer, larger, or specific category of fish.
