Summary[]
The Galactic Hub Calypso Archivists is the official documentation subdivision of the Galactic Hub Calypso (CalHub), focusing on documentation of CalHub discoveries, creation and maintenance of CalHub wiki pages, and teaching of documentation best practices.
Mission[]
The mission of the Galactic Hub Calypso Archivists is to:
- Encourage collaborative exploration in No Man's Sky
- Document the discoveries of CalHub citizens
- Populate catalogs and albums and create wiki pages
- Help coordinate and ultimately document CalHub's major events, colonies, and special projects
- Teach interested explorers how to properly document discoveries
- Support the missions of official Galactic Hub chapters
Joining[]
Interested explorers are encouraged to join the CalHub Discord server and get involved in the community by sharing their discoveries and participating in active projects. CalHub citizens who enjoy exploration and documentation and wish to join the Archivists should post in the Wiki channel to express their interest. Archivist candidates may be asked to make contributions to albums and create example wiki pages in advance of being selected for induction into the department.
While wiki-related skill sets are highly valued for Archivists, they are not the sole criteria for recruitment. Community involvement and demonstrated enthusiasm for CalHub exploration activities will also be considered.
Roles of Archivists[]
Archivists are encouraged to pursue a diverse array of interests. Some will focus on documenting rare fauna while others will find and contribute unusual starships. The Archivists support the intergalactic missions of official Galactic Hub chapters, including the Galactic Hub Exobiology Corps, Galactic Hub Geological Surveyors, Galactic Hub Ship Hunters, and Galactic Hub Builders Guild.
Ultimately, Archivists are looked to as the cultivators and stewards of CalHub's presence on the No Man's Sky Wiki, and thus play a key part in representing the civilization to the broader player community by creating tangible records of CalHub's exploration achievements.

Hierarchy / Rank System[]
The Head Archivist facilitates the acceptance of new members, provides direction for large scale projects, and oversees the work of the other Archivists. Glitterpede is currently the Head Archivist for CalHub. The only two ranks of the department are sorted as follows:
- Head Archivist: Chosen by the CalHub Director and CalHub Cabinet from among the Archivists.
- Archivist: Chosen by the Head Archivist and other members of the Cabinet.
