Galactic Hub Eissentam Scribes is a documentation department.
Summary[]
The Galactic Hub Eissentam Scribes is the official documentation subdivision of the Galactic Hub Eissentam that focuses on documentation, integrating the wiki with the community, and teaching citizens how to document discoveries.
EisHub's Scribes do not focus on a specific type of discovery, but contribute to the documentation of all of them. Scribes will operate in the Eissentam galaxy unless told otherwise.
Like other research departments, Scribes are encouraged to both explore and document. Everything found is open to be added to the wiki and Scribes can find or document whatever they like.
Mission[]
The mission of the Galactic Hub Eissentam Scribes is to:
- Improve and change EisHub's wiki and the wiki as a whole
- Document the community's discoveries into the many different catalogs
- Integrate the wiki with the community by helping citizens with their wiki needs
- Populate catalogs for research and allow viewers to find what they need
- Share fauna, star systems, planets, and starships with the community through the wiki
- Document important discoveries such as colonies, rare fauna, and much more
Joining[]
An early advertisement of the Scribe role.
It is required to join the Discord before being considered for the Scribe role. If that is completed, Head Scribe Lenni009 and the rest of the EisHub Council (also known as Bridge Crew), will examine your wiki prowess and other important skills. Certain requirements must be met, and joining takes time in order to ensure commitment. It is required to have made five album entries of various types and one fully documented planet/moon, system, fauna, starship, or multitool.
Skill with the wiki is not the primary focus of the search, as other factors like time on the Discord and interaction with the community play a large role.
If an applicant is chosen for the role, they will be contacted directly through Discord, where most of a Scribe's work is done.
Exploration Focuses[]
Unlike the three research departments, Scribes are not focused on a specific type of discovery. Some Scribes will choose to focus on starships, while others will primarily document fauna. Many Scribes are part of one or two of the research departments on top of their Scribe role. All discoveries will still fall under the Galactic Hub Naming Guidelines and will be documented in the Galactic Hub's standard. Everything documented and properly named will be in EisHub Space unless specified otherwise.
Role and Systems[]

If an important discovery is made by another player, a Scribe will be called. Their job is to put the discovery into its respective catalog, as an album entry.
Additionally, Scribes will have assignments that usually the entire team will be asked to complete. This ranges from documenting colonies to developing or changing systems on the wiki. Assignments are usually optional and are not always on a strict time limit.
Another role of a Scribe is to teach others how to use the wiki. If a Scribe is experienced enough, any members who would like to learn the wiki could be taught by them. Otherwise, any minor wiki questions brought by other Scribes or wiki-using members should be answered if possible.
Lastly, Scribes are encouraged to pursue their own projects and wiki based interests. Joining some of the three research departments is advised and common. When not tasked with one of the things above, it is important that Scribes continue the work that they want to do and enjoy.

Hierarchy / Rank System[]
Only the Head Scribe may issue promotions. All ranks have certain criteria that must be filled in order to be eligible for promotion. Other factors to be included in promotions include time in service and time in rank.
The Scribes are organized into a hierarchical rank structure as follows:
- EisHub Scribe Head (ESH): This Scribe is the Head Scribe. The Head Scribe is responsible for all documentation and wiki matters relating to the Galactic Hub Eissentam and oversees all Scribe operations. This rank will run the day-to-day operations of the Scribes, and serves as the intermediary between the EisHub Directors and the rest of the Scribes.
- Wiki Captain (SC5): These Scribes are highly proficient at properly documenting discoveries and creating album entries independently. They are able to create, edit, and maintain EisHub wiki pages for colonies or other events as well as teach wiki editing to other players.
- Senior Scribe (SC4): These Scribes are proficient at properly documenting discoveries and creating album entries independently. They are also proficient at teaching other players how the wiki works.
- Journeyman Scribe (SC3): These Scribes can create basic wiki pages for discoveries and are proficient at album entry creation with little oversight. These Scribes are also able to teach wiki basics to others.
- Apprentice Scribe (SC2): These Scribes know basic album entry creation but are not yet fully proficient at creating full pages.
- Scribe initiate (SC1): These Scribes are recruits who have not yet received training in proper wiki documentation.
