Gamma Quadrant is one of four galaxy quadrants.
Summary[ | ]
The Gamma Quadrant term has become synonymous with the bottom left portion of the galactic map when viewed from the iVc Quadrant Map
The area encompasses all Galactic Coordinates below Prime gHorizon 0800, left of Prime gMeridian 0800 and from gAltitude 0000 through 0FFF.

Initially developed as an iVc Quadrant for galactic cartography.
As players have expanded into other galaxies, the quadrant system has been adopted for navigation there as well.
