Glor is a planet in No Man's Sky.

Summary

Glor is a planet in the Aforts star system, which is located in the Aslees Boundary region of the Eissentam galaxy on the PS4 version of No Man's Sky universe.

Description

Glor is a very wet planet. Its surface is mostly water with large islands and continental land masses covering close to half of it. Its atmosphere is so humid that a warm rain falls at all times of day and night. The temperature fluctuates between 76.9°F/24.9°C to 114.4°F/45.8°C with occasional superheated rainstorms boiling the air at 330.1°F/165.6°C. The constant rainfall gives the appearance of an inhospitable planet, but the normal temperature range doesn’t trigger Hazard Protection so it is quite comfortable to travel.

The land is primary low hills covered over in green grass, with bands of yellow sand for shores. Everything is lightly forested with the native trees. Just beneath the surface is a mighty labyrinth of caves. The planet’s water table is so high that many caves are partially or fully filled with water, creating an abundance of attractive grottos. Some of the caves are opened wide enough to fly into with a Starship. Glor is both a spelunker’s and a diver’s paradise.

Points of Interest

The continents of Glor have few points of interest, but those that exist are of a good and useful variety. Discoveries include Beacons, Galactic Trade Terminals, Uninhabited Camps, and Waypoints, plus at least one Holographic Comms Tower, one Depot, and one Trading Post. There is an abundance of Knowledge Stones on Glor, as well.

Player Base

There is at least one player base on Glor. The base is marked with a Save Beacon and is equipped with a single Landing Pad, a Galactic Trade Terminal, and a Nomad Geobay. It was built by explorer roytheodd. The base is named Point Owdene Research Station.

Sentinels

The "low" security of the sentinels make Glor an easy and enjoyable planet to explore. There are few sentinels and most infractions lead to being only investigated; few actions trigger an armed response by sentinels.
