Summary[]
Gold Dawn Sanctuary is a player base, located on the planet Valeria in the Kaisium system. It once served as the capital city of the Helios Confederation of Independent Systems, and is now occupied by the Helion Trade Federation.
Layout[]
Gold Dawn Sanctuary has five different landing zones throughout the city. Two are off of either the North and South sides, one to the West, and two more to the East. The Sanctuary suffered some damage when Beyond came, but was quickly renovated to adapt to the new assets of the universe.
It is powered by a large electromagnetic power grid, fueled by the spires of the skyscrapers throughout the city.
You will find that all skyscrapers in the Sanctuary are explorable, and some are decorated to a decently high level of detail.
In the center of the city, you will find the Rotunda. This building is the official center of operations for what used to be the entire Helian Government. The Meeting Room for the Helian Senate is located on the top floor, and auxiliary towers are attached to the North and South with accommodations for Ambassadors from other civilizations. All of these facilities have been made to be used by the new Trade Federation, for things such as meetings and events.
The courtyard in the center is comprised of a save point, four pillars, and a couple sheltered chairs. The city terminus may be found on the East side of the Sanctuary, between two of the six available landing pads.
History[]
When it was first found by the Director, the structure that eventually would become Gold Dawn Sanctuary was simply the foundations of the modern-day Rotunda. At the current time, it is unknown what society or race called this planet home, but it looks to be the remnants of a long-dead civilization. Helian archaeologists are working hard to study the foundations of The Rotunda, to see if we can one day find some answers.
With the coming of the great Beyond, Gold Dawn Sanctuary fell into disrepair, due to changes in the assets of the simulation. But the Helian Government quickly poured resources into large-scale emergency renovations. These included the addition of the high voltage power grid, the construction of multiple docking areas, and the redesign of the center courtyard. Some interior details were also altered with this project.
