H. Gekkaunagera is a creature.

Summary[]

H. Gekkaunagera is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.

It is a member of the Bos genus.

Appearance[]

A moderately-sized, floating terrestrial crustacean colored in deep hues of pale red, dark plum, and green-brown, carried atop eight tentacles that wave and flex behind its body. The Symmetric gender is an example of the rare Lesser Mushroom Beetle, with a thick bell-cap fungal symbiote growing from its core body, which is of the Sun Beetle variety. The Male gender has a crustacean-like body sporting immense pincer-claws, four large eyes held in a forward body segment, and frilly gray and brown fins that trail behind it.

Alias Names[]

Current: H. Gekkaunagera

Discovery Menu[]

First recorded on the boiling acid planet Tuloca XVIII. They display an uneasy caution in the face of novelty, untrusting of strangers and strange situations. Exceptionally fine teeth allow them to selectively eat, chewing only the most nutritious parts of otherwise tough and hard to digest plants.
