I. Milkrifium is a creature.

Summary[]

I. Milkrifium is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.

It is a member of the Rhopalocera genus.

This creature is nicknamed the "Ephemeron", a name given by Aristotle in his History of Animals to the mayfly due to its short-lived existence. Although this text includes numerous errors (as this was an early empirical study of animals), the discussion of the Ephemeron is a case of Aristotle being correct when he was previously thought to be in error. He claims that this fly is quadruped, when in fact it has six legs. But what Aristotle specifically says is that it "moves with four feet", which is actually true of the insect, since its front pair of legs are not adapted for walking.

Appearance[]

This particular species of butterfly is a member of the rare subgenus category Seraph Butterfly, exhibiting the characteristic ethereal six wings. This Seraph is adorned with desaturated grayscale wings and a shovel-shaped head.
