I set out like so many others to see them all, the 255 galaxies of the universe. Not wanting to do a rush job with no going back, I decided on the following criteria for each galaxy: 1) Set up a small base in every galaxy - for easy visit later. 2) Every base to be next to a Portal - for travel around the galaxy. 3) Every base should have a base Terminus and power, solar + batteries. 4) Every base to be at the core of the galaxy.
Needed for the journey - Capital Ship with Exocraft Materializer, and storage. This is my HQ in any case. Several stacks of materials to build and make warp cells uranium for launch fuel.
I set up mines in Euclid for the materials needed. Refiners on the Cap, and filled up the storage. Off I went into the unknown.
There is various methods of getting to the core of a galaxy. I chose the easiest one for Euclid. Warp to another player's base that he had there already. To ensure less travel in the next galaxy, hit a Black Hole first, then warped to the edge base. And jumped.
When you jump to another Galaxy some things gets damaged. Modules in Tech slots do not get damaged. I set up the Exosuit and Starship accordingly. Spare multi-tool in the use slot. 2 others for backup. Because of the Black Hole travel before jumping I landed near the core of the next Galaxy. Because of the setup on my maxed S-class the ship is not crashed. I can call it to me. Then it is a simple matter of finding the closest edge system, then a suitable planet. Warp in the Cap, materialise the Exocraft. Scan for Alien buildings. Fly to said Monolith, do the quest and then ask for a Portal location. Fly to the portal, set up base, jump to the next galaxy. 254 times. Every monolith quest gives one or more standing with a specific race. Some Korvax and Vy'Keen ones offer a free Multi-Tool as a prise. Even got an S-Class pistol from one. Standing with all races is also now L9, or Special Relationship. Each Monolith have 3 words you can learn. 1,234 word learned.
It is done. I have 255 bases, one at the core of each galaxy. Next to a portal.
