Kamaix-Guchu is a star system in No Man's Sky.

Summary[]

Kamaix-Guchu is a star system in the No Man's Sky universe.

It is the capital of the Sugaikinovi Fringe (now the Sugaikin Boundary) region and one of three stars that form the now defunct Capital Triangle. The Triangle is the gateway between this region and the Sliodmarka Void (now the Sliodma Expanse directly behind (facing the center).

The system has a very bright green skybox, making the nighttime of all the planets seem like it's just late in the day.

Alias names[]

Formerly known as Kamaixingti. In Atlas Rises, the system underwent a name change. The process:

  1. Kamaixingti
  2. Kamaix-Guchu (simplification: ingti is dropped, -Guchu is added, making the system a bit easier to pronounce)
All Original: Kamaixingti
PC Current: Kamaix-Guchu

Discovered[]

By PC explorer Ezegnegch on December Day, 2016.

Planets & Moons[]

The order listed below is the distance to the Space station point of entry. The first is the nearest while the last is the farthest.

Planet Name Images Size and Type
Terrain Archetype
Weather Sentinels Flora Fauna
Oinetia This was once a toxic planet. Small Forsaken Planet Inert Attentive Nonexistent Undetected
Copper Rusted Metal Cobalt Now it is dead... Rock Pillars Notes: Formerly known as Duossalss Aauk, this once toxic planet lost all its life over time, ultimately resulting in a forsaken death.
Runoniw R39 This planet saw the least change across the ages. Small Barren Planet Sporadic Grit Storms Regular Patrols Sporadic Copious
HOSTILE FAUNA
Cactus Flesh Copper Pyrite Silver Once a desert, always a desert. Craters Notes: Formerly known as Compakask-Mepp Major, this planet saw the least amount of change overall.
Its rough, badlands-esque giant craters terrain changed to a heavily cratered world with lofty mountains.
Zuphliu Complementary wine from Los Santos liquor company is not included. Large Acrid Planet TORRENTIAL ACID Require Obedience Copious Ample
Salvageable Scrap Fungal Mould Activated Copper Ammonia Silver Storm Crystal There is no thing such as Grand Theft Auto here. Just Grand Theft Starship. Mesa Notes: Formerly known as Inshirishi Zapolo, the violent terrain is greatly smoothed out, resulting in Mesa-like land formations.
While its biome changed from irradiated to toxic, its weather is still just as violent as before.
Cesonja Major An already violent planet becomes even more violent! WONERFUL! Medium High Radio Source Planet GAMMA CYCLONE Regular Patrols Abundant Frequent
HOSTILE FAUNA
Gamma Root Activated Copper Uranium Silver Storm Crystal WOOOOOOOO!!! YEAAAAAAAH!!! TORNAODES, LIGHTNING STORMS, AND MY BODY MUTATING INTO A XENOMORPH THANKS TO EXTREME RADIATION! FANTASTIC!!! Honeycomb Notes: Formerly known as Yihdistojene, this predator-infested hellhole changed from a toxic to an irradiated biome, as if switching with Zuphliu.
Tornadoes and lightning storms complement the already hilariously ridiculous and violent weather, as if it isn't extreme enough.
Wadan 76-T3 What was once a beautiful red desert is now a boring, ordinary hot biome world... Large Scalding Planet Dehydrated Require Obedience Rich Moderate
Ancient Bones Solanium Copper Phosphorus Silver It's dreary and boring here now... A sad fate for a once beautiful desert... Rolling Plains Notes: Formerly known as Gukarlevskios-Aep, this once proud desert, formerly my all-time favorite planet, has devolved into a dreadfully dreary, drab, dull and boring starter-type scorched planet... sighs
Ifrods IX Oh hello there, you beautiful new planet! What do you have in store for me? Large Overgrown Planet Usually Mild Require Obedience Abundant Copious
Star Bulb Copper Paraffinium Magnetised Ferrite OH... MY... ATLAS, THIS PLANET IS ABSOLUTELY MAJESTIC! Monoliths M Notes: The new kid on the block, this mythical lush planet's slightly less-than-ideal weather and horrible underwater biome are more than made up by its scenic and picturesque mountain ranges and its ethereal and dream-like high fantasy feel. I seriously want to find a planet like this back home in Rerasmutul! Except with no storms and a better underwater biome if possible. Lejo Tau is found.

NOTE: Ifrods IX added to this system during the Origins update.

The planet that does not exist... ?[]

After a full, successful recovery from a harrowing ordeal thanks to Cesonja Major's obscenely dangerous radioactive supercells, Khan Ezegnegch gained unknown powers. This is the only incident in the entire surveying mission of the system so far. Except for his newfound powers, everything felt normal. Exploration of the Kamaix-Guchu system continued normally after the recovery. All planets are properly surveyed by him and a team of Naman's best elite explorers. After expressing bitter disappointment in what happened to Gukarlevskios-Aep, now called Wadan 76/T3, he declared the survey mission a success and ordered everyone to regroup to the space station and leave the system in about a week's time.

As he is pulse jumping to the Kamaix-Guchu Cycler, he noticed a 6th planet to his right, far into the horizon. The Khan asked his team if they missed a planet. The team leader and good friend Sudlakh told him the entire gravity well all the way to its outer edges is thoroughly surveyed and there is no 6th planet. Either Naman's best elite explorers and Sudlakh himself are just losing it or they're just not skilled enough he thought, but Sudlakh found two excellent vacation planets while his team were able to fully survey two excellent regions for the civilization, pleasing even the GITGUD megacorporation alliance and causing his approval rating to skyrocket and the people to love him even more despite his flaws. He ordered the team to stay on the system for about 2 weeks longer. Sudlakh and the Khan went to where the 6th planet is seen. This is when things started getting really bizarre. While en-route to the planet, nothing shows up in the cockpit instruments of both their starships. Sudlakh doesn't see it but strangely, Ezegnegch sees it clear as day.

"Are you sure there is a planet at this direction, my Khan?"

"Can't you see it? It is right there, clear as day!"

"Umm... I apologize sir, but did that freak supercell in Cesonja messed up your mind? Your suit was leaking when we found you."

"I... don't know, Sud. I don't know. I see it clear as day... But... Oh dear. It isn't in your cockpit scanners, is it?"

"It is not showing up, my Khan."

"It isn't showing up in mine either. This is just bizarre... Alright. Sudlakh, go back to the team. Stop pulse jumping now or die crashing into the planet."

From the Khan's point of view, the HUGE planet is getting closer and closer quickly. From Sudlakh's point of view, he's pointing and gesturing at empty space.

"Alright, my Khan."

"Stay for another 2 weeks longer, so that's a month. Also please stay here and await further orders. I'm going in this... thing. Wish me luck."

"Yes, my Khan!"

Minutes passed by. Nothing. Minutes turned into hours. If there really was a planet just close by, it should've taken just a couple of seconds at a distance of 100,000u with heavily upgraded starships. Sudlakh is now worried, but staying by the Khan's orders, he went back to the Space Station and stayed in the system for about a month longer. Still nothing. There are no signals or traces of his starship or his DNA signature. Nothing. Sudlakh ordered his team to the site where the Khan was last seen. They're all dumbfounded - there really is nothing there. Sudlakh told his team everyone will be risking death by pulse jumping to the empty spot where a planet is supposed to be, and they all did so for their beloved Khan. Nothing happened. They just passed by through the area as if nothing is there. Not even the Khan's starship's signature or his DNA trace is found. Nothing. They pulse jumped further, eventually reaching the edge of the gravity well. Nothing. They went back to the space station, teleported back to Rerasmutul and broke out the news - the Khan is missing.

Former lore[]

The pride and capital star of the Sugaikinovi Fringe is a harsh system full of hazardous planets, symbolizing the hardiness and perseverance of the region's denizens. The star emits a strange, bright green light that makes nighttime seemingly nonexistent. There are no lush planets here - just two desert worlds, two toxic worlds and the region's most extreme irradiated world. All planets, especially the extreme worlds Yihdistojene and Inshirishi Zapolo, are very heavily populated.
