The Kosowotine Republic is a predecessor state of the Sovereign Principality of Kosowr.
During its existence, it was located in the Euclid galaxy.
Its national assets were individually sold to private investors on 19/09/21, and the KR ceased to exist.
Mission[]
The KR's goal was to grow in power and prosperity, with little care as to how they got there. This was reflected in the motto on its coat of arms, Profit Without Regard.
It maintained a policy of armed neutrality, and is not a member of any alliance. It will defend this neutrality if necessary.
Background[]
History[]
A prominent Kosowotine quasi-state first emerged under the Kosowr Merchant Company, which effectively functioned as a colonial, for-profit government that overshadowed the actual Kosowotine Government. This was not always popular in Kosowr though, especially as more things such as the military were put under Company control; they were beginning to stray from their one aim of profit. Eventually, when the Company took an economic downturn and Kosowr was directly affected, the Government voted to abolish the KMC and bring its resources under direct Kosowotine control. It was thus reformed as the Kosowotine Republic, under the control of a Lord Chancellory. It retained a focus on increasing its power and prosperity even at the cost of others, and so it would keep the same motto.
The KR would become a large political power as its strict neutrality would force others to treat it as more powerful than the smaller civs that made up the minor alliances; this became especially prevalent after the formation of the second Kosowotine Commonwealth, this time as more of an imperial effort to colonise other civs.
The Kosowotine Navy stood as one of the most powerful organised navies in the universe for a large portion of the KR's existence, with well over 1000 ships. The Kosowotine courts system was also internationally renowned as the only one of its kind, well-known for its harsh punishments even to KR government officials.

With this power came greed. On 01/09/21, the Lord Chancellory made the decision to start selling all national assets for money. By 19/09/21, all physical and legal assets had been individually sold to various private investors for units and nanites - the Republic would thus cease to exist, with all its territory coming in to private ownership. Citizens were expelled immediately. In some ways this completed the goal of 'Profit Without Regard', but in reality it would devastate the Kosowotine state into civil war.
Coat of Arms[]
The Company's coat of arms, depicts a gold, white, and green shield with a quartered between symbols of the Korvax and symbols of Kosowr, with an embattled white cross in the middle. It is supported by two Great Floppae, a mythical creature, and mantled by two Kosowotine standards above a a Cancellerian Crown. Like many Kosowotine arms, it has no other crest. The motto beneath the coat of arms reads Profit Without Regard. Its blazon was:
- Crest: Within a Cancellerian Crown proper, two Kosowotine standards saltirewise with lining Or, mantled argent doubled sable.
- Escutcheon: A cross embattled argent, quarterly I and IV a semé of Atlases Or two Korvax proper, II and III vert a chevron Or in chief a Heraldic Baton Proper.
- Supporters: Two Great Floppae Proper addorsed and inverted.
- Compartment: A mount of snow proper.
- Motto: "Profit Without Regard".

The KR was led by the Lord Chancellory, supported by the Council of Lords and Kosowotine Government.
Its military primarily consisted of the Kosowotine Navy, which was divided into 4 fleets.

Rules and Guidelines[]
The Kosowotine Republic used the suffix (KR) to denote its possessions, although some used the historic suffix (KMC).
Bases and most systems (the exceptions being pre-discovered systems) were named as Name (KR). The Kosowotine flag and banner, shown here, was flown at most large bases.
Naval ships - frigates and freighters - were named as KNS Name, with KNS standing for Kosowotine Naval Ship. Small explorer craft were named as KSML Name, with KSML standing for Kosowotine Survey Motor Launch.
Planetary airfields were named as KNSC Name, with KNSC standing for Kosowotine Navy Starfighter Corps.
Starship suffixes were as follows:
