LARGEBUTTERFLY is a creature ID value of fauna in No Man's Sky.
Generally referred to just as "LARGEBUTTERFLY" (the term used by the game code) this fauna is a subgenus of Rhopalocera.
Appearance[]
LARGEBUTTERFLY are immediately recognizable as they are recognized as individual fauna by your scanner and they are much larger than your standard Rhopalocera.
Beyond their size they have many different aspects that vary from one to another that is; the number of wing sets, their wing style and coloration, even whether they have a long wraith like tail or not.

LARGEBUTTERFLIES seem to have a large amount of variants and diversities. The current discovered characteristics are:
- Several wing styles have been discovered but we do not yet know the exact number of existing options.
- Species with both two and three sets of wings have been discovered.
- Long body or short body.
