The Minifiend is a biological horror.
Summary[]
The Minifiend (also known as a One-eyed roach) is a biological horror in No Man's Sky.
They spawn on Derelict Freighters from nests and spit at their target.
Appearance[]
They are quadrupeds with one eye, and they somewhat resemble unevolved and miniaturised versions of Biological Horrors.
Strength[]
Their attack deals 1/4 damage to an non-upgraded Exosuit Deflector Shield. They can be destroyed with one hit from a stock Scatter Blaster or two volleys from a Boltcaster. They are very strong against the Incinerator, so do not use the incinerator on them.
Location[]
It can be found on the derelict freighters.
Additional Information[]
They hatch from the Horrific Nests found on Derelict Freighters. Their spitting attack is similar to that of Biological Horrors.
Lore and Speculation[]
All derelicts with Minifiend as the enemy, when scanned with the Analysis Visor, have classified cargo. Additionally, some Log Snippets mention the presence of missing biological samples, sometimes irradiated. Perhaps the Minifiends hatched from these.
