Multi-Tool Purchase Station is an interactive terminal used to acquire additional Multi-Tools.
Summary[]
Multi-Tool Purchase Station allows Travellers to preview and purchase new Multi-Tools using Units, Nanites, or special items. These stations appear in several locations across the galaxy, including aboard the Space Anomaly, inside most Space Stations, at Planetary Settlements, and occasionally within special structures such as the Sentinel Pillar, Abandoned Building, or through unique encounters.
Using this terminal, Travellers can expand their personal Multi-Tool collection by acquiring new tools with unique appearances, inventory layouts, and bonuses. Tools rotate periodically and vary by location, star system economy, and conflict level.
Multi-Tool classes include:
- C-Class – Basic tools with low stats and limited slots
- B-Class – Moderate performance with more upgrade potential
- A-Class – High-tier tools offering strong base stats
- S-Class – Top-tier tools with maximum inventory and bonuses
Differences from NEXT[]
Prior to the Beyond update, new Multi-Tools were mostly found through NPC interactions, damaged stations, or secured through puzzle-based rewards. The Multi-Tool Purchase Station streamlined this process by introducing a guaranteed, inspectable interface to preview and acquire Multi-Tools in a more predictable way.
Additional information[]
Each station presents one Multi-Tool at a time. Travellers can purchase the tool outright or store it alongside others, with up to six Multi-Tools allowed per player. Tools found in Sentinel-infested areas or dissonant systems may require special unlock methods such as Echo Locator scans or Radiant Shard usage.
Locations where these terminals appear:
- Space Anomaly (in the research terminal area)
- Space Station (next to the Technology Merchant)
- Planetary Settlements (inside the main building)
- Sentinel Pillar (after defeating surrounding Sentinels)
- Abandoned Building (rarely, or through certain missions)
Release History[]
- Beyond – Standardized Multi-Tool selection at terminals in Space Stations.
- Relics – Expanded terminal usage and updated maximum Multi-Tool capacity to six.
