Epilogue of the Artemis Path

New Beginnings is a primary mission.

New Beginnings is the epilogue of the Artemis Path, starting immediately upon the conclusion of The Purge. Two versions of the mission exist based on whether the player decided to reset the simulation or refuse the Atlas.

Reset Simulation Version[]

The previous mission concluded with the player's decision to reset the simulation, but the player still needs to choose in which type of galaxy they want to start again.

I accepted the guidance of the Atlas. What choice did I have? I am part of the Atlas, I am nothing without it.

I do not know how long I have before the machine is destroyed, before the simulation ends.

But I do know I have the freedom of infinite worlds, infinite galaxies. It is mine to explore as I will. There is nothing to do but enjoy the journey.

  • [none until the galaxy type is decided]
  • A new galaxy awaits...
    • The universe is yours to explore. Enjoy the journey
    • Possible Bug: Any non-explored galaxies appear to be unreachable via warp after this point.

Refuse the Atlas Version[]

The previous mission concluded with the player's decision to refuse the Atlas, and the log merely indicates that the player has completed the main story and is free to do as they wish.

The Atlas is dying. It wants me to reset it, to plunge myself through its interface at the centre of the galaxy. But to do so may reset this world, my life, all that I know. I do not know if I can do it.

This galaxy is enough for me. I am content to explore, to let fate works [sic] its course without me.

The Atlas waits for me, should I change my mind.

  • Enjoy the galaxy
    • The Atlas is dying, but on an alien timescale. There are years left to explore, and countless planets to discover without resetting the Galaxy.
