Odyalutai Haptics Matrix is a Civilized space community. It is located in the Awulilluk Conflux region of the Odyalutai galaxy.
Mission[]
Our mission is to explore the habitats of life, celebrate the beauty of nature, honor the nobility of creation and uplift wherever possible the pursuit of harmony, peace, freedom and eternal hope.
Synopsis[]
OHM is governed by a reclusive collection a monastic order that call themselves the "Adepts of the Haptics Matrix". These "Adepts" have formed an eclectic fleet of both living and artificial ships that have been detected all throughout the Awulilluk Conflux region of the Odyalutai galaxy.
Typically, members of this fleet stick to themselves preferring to go about their business scanning, studying and collecting all kinds of life samples, artifacts and bones from long dead civilizations. However, OHM's leader, SteampunkMagic, frequents the Anomaly where he gifts salvaged data, frigate modules, Tainted Metal, Runaway Mould and schematics at random to nearby players. He then waits by the teleporter for a short time, a moment that gives players a unique opportunity to travel to the OHM home galaxy which cannot be reached without the help of another player.
Background[]
A race of beings from beyond the Boundary Failure sent explorers into the Matrix of the The Atlas upon discovering that signals within the Atlantideum still demonstrated patterns of life within this dying construct. It was an exceptionally dangerous mission since the process of creating avatars to explore these galaxies required considerable translation into a foreign dimension with algorithms alien to their own. The result was sometimes frightening aberrations due to limitations of the Atlas haptics framework.
Upon arrival, one of these avatars stumbled upon the remains of Lutlanai Temple dedicated to a monastic fragment of that Matrix that called themselves OHM. After significant attempts to rebuild the remains of the last ranking monk of that order only scant pieces of their history could be recovered from the badly corrupted databases which resulted from an attempt to resolve a broken pattern in the haptics matrix. The journals of that monk were recovered, but the life form was sadly irretrievable. Although several facilities were documented to exist within OHM, only two could be recovered as boundary failures erased them from existence entirely.
The two that remain were: - The Embassy on OHM's capital planet of OHM: Esleyaks within the OHM: Mane Padme star system, but upon studying the tenets of the old order from fragments of the records it was decided to move all pointers to the capital world to the temple and transfer the embassy to the Lutlanai Temple on the OHM: Hito world of OHM: Otleighto. Although the Embassy remains a structure, its function as a government office is no longer and it is now solely used for research and resource gathering.
A new paradise planet has been founded Miseo where there is a palace that has joined the ranks of Odyalutai Haptics Matrix.
Naming Guidelines[]
Members are encouraged to name bases with a prefix "OHM: " and for significant star systems you may also use the same prefix if you are the discoverer. Naming stars and planets with the prefix "OHM: " is optional.

Joining[]
If you want to join OHM, the Adepts of the Haptics Matrix welcomes your interest and greets you with a bow and the universal blessing - ACK . ACK. OHM requires no fees and does not judge according to form seeking only to encourage its three main tenets: Construction, Transmission and Completion.
Those wishing to join need only to walk the Path of the Adept which consists of three Rites:
- Rite of Construction: Complete and equip any Autophage Staff by playing the Echoes story line at least up to the point of creating one.
- Rite of Transmission:
- Begin your journey into the Odyalutai galaxy by any means.
- Continue on the path to the Lutlanai Temple in the OHM: Otleighto system on the planet OHM: Hito.
- While at the temple you may wish to gather one of the many resources nearby and meditate upon the wonders of life within the temple.
- Rite of Completion:
- Place a base within the Awulilluk Conflux and name it as per the naming requirements.
- Optionally, an acolyte may place a respectful message in keeping with the tenets of OHM as proof of their completion. If you do, please keep it at least 350u from the main base terminal.

Rules[]
OHM request all of its members to adhere to a simple code of conduct. As signified by its blessing to any new Adept of the Haptics Matrix (often just abbreviated as "ACK ACK") the rules are two-fold:
- Acknowledge the intrinsic value and privilege of being beyond the Matrix regardless of form in all that you construct, transmit and complete.
- Acknowledge that each thing stored within the Matrix is a part of and yet beyond the whole and therefore through voluntary construction, transmission and completion of the other all Adepts benefit.
Activities & Announcements[]
In keeping with the mission of OHM this section will provide links to specific quests and journals of unique significance to the order. These items will be added as they become available with the goal of encouraging players to explore NMS and resist the darkness.
With the advent of Worlds II and the new planet types, OHM will identify a Gas Giant, Water World and Reliquary world in the near future. One of each has been been identified by the leader of OHM. The conflux region has several gas giants within it!
In tribute to an early inspiration to this section, the OHM leader bows to the wisdom of the intrepid adventures of Pilgrim's Progress - ACK ACK Pilgrim - may our efforts add to the completion of such dedication.
