The Optical Drill is a Multi-tool upgrade for the Mining Laser, allowing for more resources to be collected per click.

Wafer-thin lens arrays are arranged in a highly calibrated matrix, focusing the Mining Beam on an atomic level.
This extra precision allows for highly efficient mining. Elements are extracted more efficiently, increasing the yield from items harvested with the Multi-Tool.

Crafting[ | ]
Optical Drill can be built using the following ingredients:
Wiring Loom ×5 + Quantum Computer ×3 + Solar Mirror ×3 → Optical Drill
Optical Drill can be repaired using the following ingredients:
- Wiring Loom ×3 + Quantum Computer ×2 + Solar Mirror ×2
Optical Drill can be dismantled after construction, returning the following ingredients:
- Optical Drill → Wiring Loom ×3 + Quantum Computer ×2 + Solar Mirror ×2

Installing the Optical Drill will also increase the amount harvested from plants by 50%, with an extra 6% bonus from each connected mining laser module. If you surround the Optical drill on all four sides it ends up giving a bonus of 74%.
