Orgammanav

Outer Rim Gamma, 1.158.806ly from core in Rewmanwa. No further Black Hole Marker is visible, the Border is reached.

Summary[ | ]

This Technique was discovered by InExCor Explorers during the InExCor Rewmanawa Outer Rim Expedition.

Outer Rim Travel Difficulties[ | ]

In every Galaxy at around 800.000ly from the core The Fade begins. Most of the stars further away from the centre are not selectable in the galaxy map, and it seems like it's not possible to progress further. It is easy to get lost in the galaxy map trying to find a route, but moving further outward fast and in a secure direction is possible.

To distinguish between Fade Dead End Pockets and normal galaxy regions that let you progress outward, InExCor explorers have noted that Black Hole Markers were present only in the latter.

Technique[ | ]

The technique consists in moving in a direction where further Black Hole Markers are present, and that also increases the distance from centre.

  • This travel technique doesn't move the Traveller in a straight line, but it is very effective way to reach the border.
  • It guides the navigation outward and on the elliptical line, and when there are no more regions with Black Holes Markers further away from the core, the Border is reached.
  • Studying the Star System coordinates it is possible to confirm the outermost location of the areas reached with this method.

Notes[ | ]

In every Quadrant, on the elliptical line, the farthest distance is reached at about 1.159.100ly from core.
