Outlaw System is a type of star system.

Summary

Outlaw Systems, also known as Rebel Systems, have fallen under the control of the pirate faction. The authority of this system has been subverted by rebel forces. According to the game guide, such outlaw systems see unusally high level of conflict, due to the lack of punishment for preying on trader starships.

They have their own technology merchants, their own marketplace for illegal items and more. Expedition 6: The Blighted revolves around this kind of system.

The Outlaw Station

Outlaw Stations do not exist in normal systems, but only in this type of system. Much like an abandoned station, it has some broken pieces of metal, floating metal and has a red tractor beam instead of blue. Inside, a number of NPCs and vendors occupy the landing area. Solar Ships frequently dock in this station.

As a result of Sentinel Interceptors being subverted, shooting at the Outlaw Station doesn't trigger a Sentinel response.

Left-Hand Side

• Station Terminus Teleporter (looks and works like a Base Teleport Module). Cannot transport the player to "normal" space stations.

• Scrap Dealer trading illegal upgrade modules (eg. Suspicious Modules and Suspicious Packets, as well as Emergency Signal Scanners.

Right-Hand Side

• Contraband Agent dealing mostly in prohibited and suspicious goods (e.g. NipNip Buds, Blood Salt, Counterfeit Circuits, First Spawn Relics, GrahGrah, Prismatic Feathers, and Stolen DNA Samples.
• A Bounty Master offers pirate missions in exchange for , prohibited goods and upgrades, Forged Passports, and regular rewards.
• Salvage Dealer selling X-Class upgrades
• Starship Outfitting Terminal

Subverted Station Core

A subverted Station Core can be found in this station, instead of a blue light as normal, it still blue but continuous flashing. The Subverted Station Core terminal table has this alphabet (translated):

In the table, all the lines are replaced from "Online" to "Error". Interacting with this station core will trigger this message:

Life support systems: - kzkzzt -... Commercial monitoring: DISABLED... Station defenses: primed for - kzkzzt - freedom... Atlas/Aeron Surveiliance Uplink: REJECTED...

Players have two choices: Request the Voice of Freedom or Leave. Choosing option 1 (Request the Voice of Freedom) will trigger this message:

Choose option 2 (Leave) just results in terminating dialogue with Station Core. In the Under a Rebel Star mission, entering a starship and hold W (take off and leave the station) will make it contact with you through your starship communicator, you have two choice: Accept the task or Abort takeoff (which end the communication). After communication, you will receive a Forged Passport, you need to bring it to a normal Station Core to disrupt traffic record.

Locating

To locate this type of star system, install the Conflict Scanner. After installed, open the Galaxy Map and search for a system with the conflict icon is the skull icon instead of the sword one. Alternatively, you can complete the Under a Rebel Star mission to find this system. You can install an Economy Scanner then oper the Galaxy Map and search for a system, every system, you need to expand the star system infomation by press R in your keyboard, find a system with an economy is black market. For example: Nano-construction // Sell: 72.0% Buy: -18.4% // Black Market.
