Plasma Launcher Upgrade is a multi-tool upgrade.
Summary[ | ]
Plasma Launcher Upgrades, contained within Plasma Launcher Modules, are procedurally generated upgrades granting bonuses to a Multi-tool's Plasma Launcher.
Upgrade properties[ | ]
Plasma Launcher Upgrades grant at least one of the following bonuses:
- Projectile Velocity: increases travel speed of explosive
- Damage: increases the maximum damage to other targets
- Bounce Potential: increases the maximum height of bounces
- Explosion Radius: increases the maximum radius of the explosion
1 - 33% is the absolute lowest minimum
Up to three Plasma Launcher Upgrades can be installed in the inventory of a Multi-tool --- installing four or more upgrades will disable all upgrades of that type until the upgrade count is reduced to three or fewer.
Crafting[ | ]
Plasma Launcher Upgrades can only be obtained from opening Plasma Launcher Modules.
Plasma Launcher Upgrade can be repaired using the following ingredients:
- Unstable Plasma ×1 + Wiring Loom ×1
Plasma Launcher Upgrade can be dismantled after construction, returning the following ingredients:
- Plasma Launcher Upgrade → Unstable Plasma ×1 + Wiring Loom ×1
Installing[ | ]
Upgrade modules follow a static progression. The generation seed is used for all module families at the same time. During module installations it goes up by one. The new module they change into correlates to their order of installation. If the game is reloaded, the exact same pool will be offered to the player, no matter the order they install other modules.
Example: If an S-class module had 200 ly Hyperdrive Range bonus on the third installation no matter in what order the former modules are installed or their class, if the same S-class module is used third again, it will once again be the 200 ly bonus module even if the name changes. Only if used second or fourth the module stat may change.

- Upgrade bonuses trigger for Plasma Launcher Upgrades if they are adjacent to Plasma Launcher or each other, increasing their bonuses above listed values.
- When using a save editor to compare a Plasma Launcher Upgrade with a Geology Cannon Upgrade of the same class, any given five digit Procedural ID will display the same name for both types, but they will always have stats different from each other.
