Production Dome 04 is a player base.

Summary[ | ]

Production Dome 04 is a player base, located on the planet New Bolleusi in the HUB7-201 Tepper's Grass system. It is part of the Galactic Hub Production Domes series of bases, which provide large quantities of resources from within the safety of massive Bio-Domes. Visitors are protected from all weather hazards, except on the freezing valley floor where atmospheric regulation systems sometimes fail.

To enter or exit the biodomes, simply clip through the black band area on the lower part of the dome, below the glass section. It should be possible in a ship with minimal difficulties, but if that still presents a challenge, you may find it easier to enter and exit on foot or exocraft.

As with all GH Production Domes, a series of billboards are available throughout the dome. A billboard may be rented for a period of 2 months for 115 Hubcoin, although in practice, it will likely be left up as long as you (or the entity/location you're advertising) remains active.

Construction is permitted within the Dome on a by-approval basis. Contact 7101334 to request space within this, or another, Production Dome.

Resources Produced[ | ]

The following resources are available at Production Dome 04:

Mineral & Gas Hotspots

Barrel Fabricators (20)

Production Dome 04 encases the majority of two mountains, and the valley formed between those two mountains. Both of Production Dome 04's main features are located on the eastern mountain, Mount Jotunheim.

Resource Depot & Ski Lift[ | ]

The Resource Depot can be found near the center of the dome, slightly up the slope of Mount Jotunheim. The Resource Depot is comprised of a platform with an extra-large silver diplo statue, a Galactic Trade Terminal, a (currently unused) billboard, and two Supply Depots. One Supply Depot provides approximately 120,000 Radon while the other supplies approximately 140,000 Dioxite. A stairway extending up, near the billboard and Trade Terminal, leads to the Ski Lift.

The Ski Lift is a small utilitarian building featuring a Shield Station, (currently broken) Health Station, Teleporter, Appearance Modifier, a few decorations, and of course, the Ski Lift itself. To use the Ski Lift, interlopers must spawn the downscaled Nautilon exocraft and then enter as you'd enter any exocraft. Shortly after entering, you will find yourself transported to one of the landing pads at Jotunheim Resort.

Jotunheim Resort[ | ]

Jotunheim Resort is the simulation's first Nautilon Sledding Resort. Jotunheim Resort features two main areas: the Molecular Sled Accelerator platforms and the Jotunheim Lodge & Shopping Center.

Jotunheim Resort was named after Jotunheim, the land of the Frost Giants (and regular Giants) in Nordic pagan mythology.

Molecular Sled Accelerators[ | ]

The Molecular Sled Accelerators (MSAs) are the big draw of Jotunheim Resort. These are fairly simple machines which pass a downscaled Nautilon down a track. At the end of the track, suspended high above the mountainside, the Nautilon will tip over the edge and begin freefalling down the mountain. This is an uncontrolled and chaotic freefall - it is strongly recommended that visitors only use the MSAs in third-person view.

To use our MSAs, follow these directions:

  1. Spawn Your Nautilon - This is the only step that can be somewhat challenging, but you just need to position your camera right. First person is recommended if you're having difficulty doing it in third person, but remember to switch back before entering.
  1. Enter Your Nautilon - Enter the Nautilon just like you'd enter any other Exocraft.
  1. Hold on for the ride!

(Note that our southermost MSA is slightly buggy. You must press the "Jump" button once you reach the end, or your Nautilon will just sit there. Also note that all MSAs are proximity-activated to possibly slightly reduce lag; they only power up when you get close to the starting point.)

Following your Nautilon Sled descent, you may find yourself all the way down on the valley floor. You can easily return to the resort via the ski lift at the Resource Depot, which is a much shorter distance from the valley floor than the resort.

Jotunheim Lodge & Shopping Center[ | ]

Approaching the Jotunheim Lodge & Shopping Center, you'll be greeted by a welcoming kiosk featuring some welcoming drones, a few physical maps, and a Message Module linking to a welcoming message with instructions on using the MSAs and other information.

Nearby, on the MSA platforms, a variety of Barrel Fabricators are placed on nearby rectangular black tables. These have been specially placed in a way so that all Fabricators should give either Antimatter or Antimatter Housing to any AtlasPass v1 holders who search them. Further, if you search enough Fabricators, the Simulation seems to "forget" which ones you've already searched, allowing these tables to function as infinite Warp Cell gas stations. A few Crate Fabricators and a Save Beacon can also be found nearby.

Proceeding up the stairs, visitors will be greeted by the Galactic Hub Emblem on a seal above the steps, with two fire-warmed L-shaped couches on each side. The walls are brown, reddish brown, and grey wood. A message module placed behind the Galactic Hub Emblem directs people to "Join us on reddit.com/r/NMSGalacticHub!"

Stepping through the automated door, visitors enter a warmly-lit living space with chairs, a fireplace, paintings, and some other decorations - including a Blob Garden with a "Burning Blob" ("Burning Man") theme. A door labeled "EAT" leads to a shared kitchen / food prep area. Three Nutrient Processors, two Automated Feeders, a drink station, and in-house produce gardens can be found inside.

Next door, up a small flight of stairs, a door labeled "NIP" leads to a NipNip dispensary. Three plants grow inside a glass tube, tended to by small drones inside the tube. In the corner of the room, information pamphlets are available. Two Jellyfish budtenders wait behind the counter to help you make your choice from the modest selection of items displayed on the table.

Exiting the dispensary, you may notice a decorative garden with a diplo statue above the main door that is easily missed when first entering the lodge. To the left of the main door (from inside the lodge) is the Shopping Center area. Currently this consists of 3 empty rooms, one with a combination lock. Any HubCoin Business may request to occupy one of these spaces. The room with the combination lock has been claimed, but is not yet occupied. Decoration should be minimal to insure that the Jotunheim Resort still loads well.
