No Man's Sky Wiki

Quicksilver is an alternative form of currency in No Man's Sky.

Summary[]

Quicksilver QUICKSILVER is a tertiary currency in No Man's Sky.

Units are the primary, with Nanite Clusters being secondary.

Sources[]

  • 100 QUICKSILVER from a random pulse engine event causes Condensed Stellar Ice to spawn as a Space Encounter. Quicksilver may be rewarded by destroying the ice. Approaching the ice shows its contents, but currency rewards will only display "Condensed Stellar Ice". This can be used to know in advance, prior to completing its destruction, whether it might contain Quicksilver.
  • 150 QUICKSILVER from The Space Anomaly mission when spoken to Nada. This is repeated multiple times throughout the story. The mission will auto-switch to The Space Anomaly at any point that this reward is possible.
  • 400 QUICKSILVER from Daily quicksilver missions (these are the same as normal nexus missions, but award QUICKSILVER). These stack up to 3 missions (3 days of gameplay missed).
  • 1800 QUICKSILVER from a Weekend quicksilver mission (once a week).

Time-limited missions[]

The following missions are no longer available, but retained for historical purposes:

Usage[]

Quicksilver can be spent at Quicksilver Synthesis Companion, who resides in the Space Anomaly.

A total of 267,250 Quicksilver is needed to unlock all items in the quicksilver shop, up to community mission 109 (mission 106 currently on [04/11/25] plus the 10 plants we know are coming on the next 3 missions). This number includes buying one of each firework and a single void egg (263,280 without these).
