S. Beechfideum is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
It is a member of the Rangifae genus.
Appearance[ | ]
S. Beechfideum is a towering arched-back split-toe megadiplo with gray and green skin. The Symmetric gender has a dragon head with large ears, a ridged flowy sail along its neck, a matching large frill at the base of its neck, and pointy spikes on its back. The Orthogonal has a giraffe head with horns and large ears, and bright green stripes on its back and neck.
S. Beechfideum is nicknamed "Anaximander", after the second famous ancient Greek philosopher. He argued, against his teacher Thales, that water could not be the underlying substance of all perceived reality because it was too determinate, and so could not account for the incredible variety in nature. Instead, Anaximander claimed that the underlying building block of reality was Apeiron, that which is boundless and indeterminate.

Found in the endless winter of planet Itakentiw Delta. Social animals, they show great care in tending to their young and their sick. A highly specialized digestive systems [sic] allows them to eat the Frostwort that grow on their home planet.
