S. Papiolomia is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.

It is a member of the Rhopalocera genus. This particular species of butterfly is a member of the rare subgenus category Seraph Butterfly, exhibiting the characteristic ethereal six wings. This example is nicknamed "Papillon", French for butterfly (derived from the Latin word for butterfly papilio, as this Seraph's generated name includes "Papiolomia".

Appearance[]

This shovel head Seraph is cloaked in pinks and dark grays, due to its inhabitance on the unique color "Cerulean Planet" of Yedeusion. It has the Seraph's usual eyespots on each of its six wings.

Found soaring in haunted, mournful skies of planet Yedeusion. Their gentle wingbeats belie their desperate hunger, their never-ending hunt. Though they have mouths, it seems their primary nutrient intake [sic] via their skin, in a form of atmospheric mineral absorption.
