Silence of the Sentinels was the period of time between Vy'keen victory in the war with the Sentinels, and their return after the fall of Korvax Prime.

Vy'keen viewed Sentinels as abominations, immortal and locked in an endless replication. But it wasn't until the rise of Hirk the Great and the end of the Vy'keen civil war that Sentinels intervention into Vy'keen matters was met with an open conflict. The war was bloody, with Vy'keen throwing waves upon waves of soldiers against the metal tides of the machines, but on the eighteenth lunar month the war on Dryn'dargh was won. Vy'keen became the first civilization to overthrow Sentinels. But their conquest did not end there, The Endless War has began, leading Vy'keen to the galactic victory after the 9801 cycles of their home planet. The Silence of the Sentinels has begun.

Vy'keen dominion was severely hurt by the exhausting war with the machine. Vy'keen used the period of time attempting to recover, until the point where they were attacked by the First Spawn, the war they couldn't possibly win at their post-war state.
During the Endless War the First Spawn of the Gek prepared for their move. Once the war ended, and Vy'keen purged Sentinels from the known parts of the galaxy, First Spawn begun their conquest of the galaxy.
Korvax reached the peak of their technological advancement right before the Great Disconnection followed by the First Spawn attack on their homeworld. First Spawn enslaved the synthetics, used their technology. and established rule all the way to the edges of the galaxy, crushing local alliances as they formed resistance.
During that period the remains of the Sentinels beyond the edge of the galaxy were using whatever resources they had left to replicate and grow in numbers until they had enough resources to intervene again.
End of the era[ | ]
As the First Spawn begun destroying worlds that resisted, Sentinels begun their attack. First Spawn fought back using both their own and Korvax technology, but within a single lifetime Sentinels returned to the planets across the galaxy and the Gek empire crumbled. It was finished off by the sacrifice of the Korvax, altering the Gek impulses from being driven to war into being driven to trade.
