Sodium Nitrate (Na+) is a resource and one of the catalyst elements.

Game description[edit | edit source]

An advanced catalyst, useful for charging defensive technologies such as shields or hazard protection.

Created in a Refiner, or occasionally found in crystalline form on a planet's surface.

Offers a substantially improved energy-per-gram ratio over regular Sodium.

Sodium Nitrate is not used as an ingredient for cooking using a Nutrient Processor.


Additional Information[edit | edit source]

  • Sodium Nitrate is 6x better at charging technologies than Sodium. If you acquire it by refining 2 Sodium, using Nitrate gives you an effective 3x boost in the time you can stay exposed
  • 45 Sodium Nitrate is used when repairing a drop pod
