NmsMechanics Sol

A Sol is a time unit.

Summary[]

A Sol is an in-game unit of time equal to one half of a starcycle, about 15 minutes real-time. It is used by the game primarily to measure how long the player has survived extreme conditions, so that it can award Extreme Survival milestones. After surviving 32 'Sols', you will be awarded with the The Sentinel award.

Universality[]

All in-game planets have the same "sol" duration.

Additional Information[]

An ingame "Day" is the period of time from 00.00 to 23.59 in the Analysis Visor clock. It lasts exactly 30 real-time minutes, or 2 Sols. It will also influence the time in which a variety of fauna and fish can be active (i. e. diurnal fish can only be caught during the day unless a Dangling Orb is attached to the Fishing Rig).
