Supercharged Slot are a game mechanic page.
Summary[]
Supercharged Slots are technology inventory slots where an installed technology gets a significant stat bonus. Any technology with numerical statistics can benefit from this supercharging. These locations are displayed with a purple highlight to differentiate them from others.
Bonus[]
All technologies with numerical statistics are affected by overcharging. The size of this bonus varies depending on the type of technology installed and the stat involved. It is necessary to experiment with different types of modules on these locations in order to find the most interesting modules to supercharge.
Technologies installed in these slots continue to benefit from synergy with adjacent technologies, and the bonus directly related to the class of the Starship, Multi-tool, or Freighter.
Placement[]
The supercharged slots are located in the technology slots of the various equipment. Supercharged locations are fixed and cannot be changed.
Exosuit and Exocraft[]
For the Exosuit and Exocraft, there are always three supercharged slots, which are in the same positions for all players and are arranged so that none of these locations touch each other. Supercharged locations cannot be moved during the game.
By default, most supercharged slots are missing, they are revealed as the inventory expands as the game progresses.
Starship, Multi-tools and Freighters[]
For Starships, Multi-tools, and Freighters, the number of supercharged slots depends on the class: 1 supercharged slot in Class C, 2 in Class B, 3 in Class A, and 4 in Class S. Their position is random (although almost always in the first 3 or 4 lines of the inventory), and contact between multiple supercharged slots is possible.
In addition, the position of the supercharged slots is related to the Starship, Multi-tool, or Freighters. For example, the same ship model, found in the same star system, will always have the same positioning. This makes it interesting to share coordinates in the event of the discovery of a Starship, Multi-tool or Freighters with a favorable positioning of these locations.
Equipment found in Class C and with only one supercharged slot may reveal additional supercharged slots if the class is upgraded, allowing up to 4 in Class S.
