Suspicious Modules are consumable products.
Summary[]
Suspicious Modules appear as an Extremely Powerful (purple) icon with an X-like banner. They are black-market modifications of regular Upgrade Modules.
They can greatly improve properties of the installed technologies in your exosuit, multi-tool, or starship.
Found in Buried Caches, bought using Tainted Metal from Scrap Dealers, or from random starships encountered on planets.
- The stats for these types of modules are typically of a regular C-A class module.
- Some upgrades may exceed the stats of an S-class module.
- Some upgrades may have no stats at all. If so, it displays the following text: "UPGRADE_0_STAT_ILLEGAL_DESC"
Usage[]
When applied, all Suspicious Modules share almost the same description.
- "A suspicious black-market modification for the %SYSTEM%.
- Bypassing nearly every galactic standard for workmanship and safety, this upgrade module affects %STATS%."

With the NextGen update, this price dropped to a range of 50-170 .
Occasionally, a trader's ship may land near you on a planet, selling a variety of these modules with varying, undisplayed quantities.
