Discoveries invading Main namespace[]
Inserting discovery articles into the Main namespace will cause confusion, if not now then at some point in the future we'll have to put a really silly disambugation page since people can name their planets/systems anything they like.
I think we should delegate discoveries to their own namespace, Discovery:

- I've created five forms for ease of documenting on the wiki:
- Special:FormEdit/Discovery:System for Star Systems
- Special:FormEdit/Discovery:Planet for Planets
- Special:FormEdit/Discovery:Species for Species
- Special:FormEdit/Discovery:Plant for Plants
- Special:FormEdit/Discovery:Ore for Iron structures
- They create pages under Discovery: so there's no ambiguity with page titles, and it gives a pretty in-depth run-down on what kind of information makes a good page, which will encourage people to make good planet pages
- The discoveries and planets link together using Semantic Mediawiki, so maintaining a page is pretty easy
- Please give your opinion on the idea of using these forms as the new standard for system/planet pages and converting already existing pages to the new format

No " Discovery: " for Star Systems and Planets. Ok for Species and Plants. --Wei2Awesome (talk) 17:49, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Hexagon icons right to planet name?[]
What do thehexagon icons next to the planet name mean? One is the dominant race clearly, the other is ... economy/science/something else? What does the crossed swords mean? 67.161.8.6 05:47, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
I guess it's for the conflict level of the system. Artificial Beauty (talk) 18:27, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- The first hexagon displays the economy type, second obvious. The third is the conflict level, depending on that level there are a certain number of dots between the swords:
- 1 Dot: Untroubled, Relaxed
- 2 Dots: Unstable, Testy, Belligerent
- 3 Dots: Formidable, At war, Destructive
- I am not sure exactly how this translates but seems the more dots there are, the higher chance of faction conflicts. You'll probably experience more pirate activity.

Icons next to resource names?[]
What do the different icons next to the resource names mean? What does the color mean? The shapes appear to mean vegetable or mineral. Mineral seems to have a color and orientation? Scorba (talk) 19:03, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
Discovery list[]
What order are the discoveries listed in? Newest on the top or bottom or something else? Scorba (talk) 19:03, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
