Talk: Dreams of the Deep

I based the walkthrough for Dreams of the Deep on a fresh playthrough in July 2019 (post-Visions). In this playthrough, the character knew the blueprints for Hydrothermal Fuel Cell and Humboldt Drive from the start, and the Nautilon already had a Humboldt Drive installed when it was first spawned with a Nautilon Chamber. Thanks for the updated information. I was just checking my screenshots from 2018 October November 7, so feel free to take that part out. Did you know these blueprints from the very start of the game or it is received somewhere along the way? Gorla (talk) 18:22, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

I know for sure that Hydrothermal Fuel Cell is like Metal Plating --- the character knows how to craft it without needing to learn a blueprint. As well, I just checked one of my pre-Abyss saves which has never left their first system via starship (it was an attempt to progress as far as possible without traveling via Hyperdrive), and that character knows how to build a Humboldt Drive, so I am pretty sure that the Humboldt Drive's blueprint is always known (even if it can't be utilised). Actually "my screenshots from 2018 October November 7", so it was after Abyss (and not before) when I played this and back then the Humbolt Drive was not a pre-installed technology (see this reddit post). Gorla (talk) 19:37, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
