Exotic planets minerals[]

Why has this been reverted back by User:Atlantisking1985? Currently states:

Exotic: Any two from a pool of resources comprised of Cobalt, Gold, Magnetised Ferrite, Pure Ferrite, Salt, Silver, Sodium, and the first element listed from the other biomes (Paraffinium, Pyrite, Dioxite, Ammonia, Phosphorus, Uranium, Rusted Metal, Mordite, Faecium).

Are not Exotic planets always in possession of Gold as one of the guaranteed minerals?

Then the second mineral should (as seen at page Hotspot) be one from the random pool of:

  • Cobalt
  • Magnetised Ferrite
  • Salt
  • Silver
  • Sodium

Given how the hotspots correspond to the minerals shown on the planets information in the game's "Discovery" tab, shouldn't the information here mirror what is shown in this section of the Hotspot page?

This statement is accurate. No, exotics do not always have gold. They have 2 randomly selected resources of all of the mentioned resources in this quoted list. It can be ANY two of them. It also has the activated or non activated system resources.

Are you able to confirm that from your personal experience? I have never seen it, personally.

From data-mining, playtesting & general play, yes. Not just me, but a team of 25 different players across all platforms. The list has also been fact checked by HelloGames staff.

I think I see the confusion here. Weird worlds (commonly referred to as Exotics, and which always contain Gold) are a distinct biome from Red/Green/Blue worlds (commonly referred to as Mega Exotics, and which can have one of most of the other minerals mentioned above), but the section being discussed here is treating them as a single biome. Pure Ferrite hotspots[]

I would love to see a current in-game screenshot of a Pure Ferrite deposit. (Afaik, those do not currently exist in NMS.) Ffrobozz (talk) 06:05, 28 January 2023 (UTC)

Pure Ferrite is not a substance assigned to hotspots. Source files can be checked to confirm this. Please do not revert without any reason. Also check the Talk discussion about the change to handle with changes accordingly. Please do not forget to sign your edits on Talk pages. Devilin Pixy (talk) 15:55, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
